Segment 1[]
Earth, Year: 1963, Location: In a Field…
Cassie Wells landed with a thud as she gingerly made her way back to her feet. She looked around at her surroundings. It was fields as far as the eye could see. The only thing that she could see was a small house that was across the field.
She made her way towards it. Not knowing what had just happened to her.
“HELLO!” Cassie shouted.
No response came as she got closer to the house. She pushed opened the door, this cause quite the commotion. Dozens of chickens ran out of the farmhouse, squawking loudly as they did so.
“What are you doing?” A farmer ran over. “My chickens!” He chuckled.
He was a man around Cassie’s age. He was of a large build and a smile that lit up a room.
“I’m sorry. I’ve had a fall. What year is this?” Cassie asked, feeling flustered.
“Quite the fall evidently. 1963 ma’am. I’m Tommy.” Tommy smiled.
“I’m Cassie.” Cassie put a hand out. “Hi Tommy.”
Tommy was trying to usher the chickens back to the chicken house that Cassie had rudely opened. “Could use some help. Some mad woman who doesn’t know the year let out all my chickens.” He chuckled.
“Can you help out a mad woman?” Cassie asked. “I have nowhere to go.”
Tommy looked across the fields, to the house that housed humans and not chickens. “I’m not in a great place right now. My father has passed. You’re more than welcome to stay in his room. Only for a week though! I’m moving to the city after this. I agreed to sell this place once he went.”
“Offering me a dead mans room?” Cassie chuckled at this. “I’ll be honoured. Thank you Tommy. What city?”
“London. Near Coal Hill, it’s where the latest factory has opened up, I have a job lined up.” Tommy informed her. “I have some cottage pie in the oven, if you are hungry?”
Cassie nodded. It had been quite the day. Minutes earlier she was fearing for her life on an alien planet, now she was speaking to a guy from the past.

Mirror Dimension…
It was a strange place. Things didn’t seem right, the fires that were burning were cold. Voices came from the air. A cat was barking!
The Doctor still had his sonic screwdriver as he scanned the dimension. The sonic even seemed confused by this place. He checked his phone to see if Kate was still on it. There was no signal which was expected as he wasn’t even in the same universe as Kate.
He walked around the burning tyres, approaching the old looking house. It creaked in the wind, swaying several metres from side to side, like a cartoon.
“Come and play.” A young female voice giggled inside.
The Doctor pushed open the large wooden door. It was heavier than he anticipated, and he had to put a lot of effort into pushing it.
The darkness of the night made seeing inside difficult. He could still see the little girl inside. He had seen her on Wommax when they had arrived all those years ago. It had been in a dream sequence. He remembered it well.
The girl was dancing in the middle, doing ballet pirouette. She was not dressed in ballet uniform; she was in full Gallifreyan uniform. A large red robe with golden arches on top. They wore baggy clothes as she was chuckling.
“Come and join me.” The girl said.
“Why have you taken this form?” The Doctor demanded. “It’s wrong. She didn’t like to dance. Found it childish even when she was young.”
“How would you know?” The girl stopped dancing as she faced the Doctor. “You left me. So long ago now. You said you would come back. How could you leave your granddaughter?”
The young Susan stamped her feet on the ground. “I am sorry.” The Doctor muttered as he knelt down to his granddaughter. “I really wanted to come and see you.”
“It’s too late. You abandoned me, you didn’t even give me a choice.” Susan said as her form changed, she aged in front of his eyes, turning into the young woman that he had left on Earth in his first incarnation.
The Doctor had to look away as his eyes were watering.
“Grandfather?” Susan asked.
The Doctor rose to his feet. He hugged her.
“What is this Grandfather?” Susan seemed surprised by her surroundings.
“Is that you?” The Doctor asked. “In the not a trap, not illusion way?”
“Of course it is me grandfather.” Susan smiled as the Doctor pulled her into a hug. “Where are we?”
The Doctor had to gather himself, he didn’t know how to react to his granddaughter returning to him after all these years. “It is a Mirror Dimension.” The Doctor uttered.
“Any plans of escape?” Susan asked him.
The Doctor looked around for what he could use. Then he spotted it, why would the God of Mirrors leave this here?
It was a mirror.
The Time Lord looked into it. It didn’t reflect anything back; it was pitch black. “We are getting out of here Susan.” The Doctor promised as he scanned the mirror.
“What is in your hand?” Susan asked him.
The Doctor hadn’t noticed that he had a Live Photo in his hand. It was of Cassie. She was smiling, still the only one on the hill that she was stood on. There was a faint figure that seemed to be appearing next to her, but it hadn’t fully formed yet. The Time Lord breathed a sigh of relief as he noticed that she hadn’t aged, yet.
“Cassie Wells. She is a remarkable person. She needs saving.” The Doctor hit the mirror as it wouldn’t change.
“Grandfather! That is very unbecoming.” Susan complained.
She went into her pocket, passing something to her grandfather.
“You built this?” The Doctor asked.
“I was taught by the best.” Susan smiled as the Doctor held it to the mirror. It turned into a fantastic mixture of blue and green lights.
“A sonic screwdriver. I am so proud of you.” The Doctor smiled.
A bolt of light flashed in the corner of the room. The God of Mirrors looked furious. Susan was disappearing.
“Susan!” The Doctor shouted.
“Come visit me.” Susan replied with her last moments in the Mirror Dimension.
The God of Mirrors put her hands together and pushed the air as words formed.
She was supposed to be a fake. A trap for you to fall for. How did you get her here?
The God of Mirrors was changing colour, her skin lighting up to a ferocious shade of red. She floated in the air, rubbing her hands together. A ball of light was forming in her hands.
The Doctor looked to the mirror as he jumped towards it, a bolt of light followed him as the house they were in shattered into a million pieces.

Earth, 2008, UNIT headquarters…
Kate had rushed back to the UNIT base. The devil was shackled in chains, it still stood on the white cliffs of Dover. It had created a hellscape on Earth, the ground had opened up all around the world. It was like hell was coming to the surface. UNIT had continued to bombard the devil with their firepower, but it didn’t have any effect on it.
“We must leave the building. Now!” Biggins ran into the room Kate was in.
“What’s going on?” Kate asked.
“The devil Kate! The ground is opening up.” The scientist still had his goggles in from the experiments he had been doing.
They ran outside, getting out just in time was the UNIT headquarters were plunged into the ground. Around them soldiers were looking to the sky.
“What are they looking at?” Kate asked as she followed their eyes which were looking to the sky.
“Their eyes.” Biggins said. “They’re red. It’s like they are possessed.
In a moment, the soldiers were turned to dust and swept into the air. The sky was darkening turning a radical mix of black and red. These colours danced with each other like they were doing the waltz.
“The question is. How are we still here?” Kate asked as she saw the goggles on Biggins face. “Do not take those off.”
She realised she had something in her pocket. It was a device from the black archives. It formed a small forcefield around an individual, it proved very useful when facing aliens on a daily basis, but it did drain the person of energy. The device was powered by the Human that it was protecting so was dangerous to use for a long time.
Biggins had gotten a tablet device out. It showed live footage of the device. It was pulling at the chains that stretched into the vortex behind it.
“Is there any way of forcing it back in?” Kate asked.
“I could try to ask it.” Biggins suggested.
“Just ask the devil to be gone?” Kate chuckled.
“I would be formal. Hello devil, will you please step into that nice light?” Biggins chuckled as Kate’s phone was ringing.
She picked it up.
After a minute she put it down.
“What is it?” Biggins asked.
Kate looked around unsure of what she had just heard. “It’s … strange.”

Wommax, Year: Alpha 36.5…
The Doctor had jumped through the mirror as he landed back on Wommax. His body slammed into the cold concrete ground. Faces appeared above him, in shock at the man who had just appeared through a mirror that hung on the corner of the wall.
“Is this another God?” One of the crowd asked.
“The Doctor.” A woman with purple streaks in her hair helped the Time Lord to his feet.
“Jezemiah?” The Doctor asked her.
She seemed flattered by this. “No! I am Helma. She is a very distant relative of over a thousand years ago. You must be the Time Lord that helped the first settlers on Wommax. Jezemiah’s dairies have a vivid description and drawing of you. And your companion Cassie Wells, where is she?”
The Doctor brought out the Live Photo. A male figure was closer to being formed next to her.
“Sutekh. The God of Death. We have to stop him.” The Doctor told her. “Take me over there.”
“There is something you have to see.” Helma said as she indicated for the Doctor to follow her.
They went into a room that had a tinted window and a control panel in front of it. A red light was on above it to indicate that tint was still on.
“What is this place?” The Doctor asked.
Helma indicated for him to face the tinted window.
“May I present to you.” Helma flicked a switch, the light turned to green as the window lost its tint and revealed who was inside it.
It was the God of Dreams.
“How have you managed to trap the God of Dreams?” The Doctor asked.
“It took a lot of soldiers, but we managed to paralyse him. Maybe we can do the same with the God of Death.” Helma suggested.
“No. You can’t. These Gods have just come through the vortex. This is the weakest they will ever be. In a day, the Dream God will be able to break out of this place and put everyone on this planet into a deep dream that they will not be able to wake up from. Give him a week he will be able to take over the Galaxy, give him a month then the whole universe is in danger.” The Doctor explained.
They were looking at the Dream God. He seemed despondent. His head hung low; his hands were in handcuffs. He shook them but nothing happened. Dream God was frustrated with his inability to do much. He looked up to the Doctor and Helma, he smiled as he did so.
“Can he see us?” The Doctor asked.
“No. It’s a one way mirror. We can see him, but he can’t see us.” Helma said.
“One way? That could be a good idea.” The Doctor smiled. “Okay. I’m going in. I have something he wants.”
The Doctor entered the interrogation room.
Dream God squinted, as if he couldn’t quite recognise the Doctor.
“I know you from somewhere.” Dream God tried to pin it.
“Your first incursion into this universe. Last time we met you chose to go back to the Pantheon. Why have you returned?” The Doctor asked the God.
“I had to save her.” Dream God stated. “But I failed. I lost her. Now everything has to burn.”
“Why?” The Doctor asked.
Dream God seemed taken aback by this question. “Isn’t it obvious, Doctor. If I can’t have what I want then why should anyone else. The beings in this universe are so pathetic. You don’t have Gods to rule over you, let us help with that.”
“Chia.” The Doctor said.
He let it sit in the air for a few seconds. Dream God was close to tears at the mention of her name.
“You don’t get to say that name.” Dream God hit the table.
“You sent her through the Pantheon and into this universe?” The Doctor asked.
“She made it?” Dream God muttered.
The Doctor got his phone out as he rang it.
“Kate!” The Doctor yelled out. “Take the phone to Chia.” The Time Lord hung up.
After a few minutes, the phone rang.
“Hello?” The Doctor asked.
A happy looking scientist with goggles with smiling down at him. He was breathing heavily from the running that he had been doing. “DOCTOR! The world is falling apart. The devil is going to destroy us all. Can you do something about it? We have tried many weapons on it.”
“Hello. What is your name?” The Doctor asked.
“Biggins, sir!” Biggins called out.
“Okay Biggins. One thing at a time. Do you have Chia there?” The Doctor asked.
Muffled voices came through the mobile device.
“Hello?” Chia asked.
Dream God tried to snatch the phone but the cuffs on his hands were also attached to the table and pulled his body to the table. He landed with a thud on it.
“CHIA!” Dream God shouted.
“Michael? Is what they are saying true?” Chia asked him.
“Please Chia. I can explain everything just-.” Dream God got interrupted.
“No. You listen to me. The man I know, Michael Read, is the most amazing, kind hearted and beautiful person that I know. Why are they telling me about you being this Dream God?” Chia demanded as Dream God was evidently annoyed.
“What can I do to make this up to you? Please Chia. Name it.” Dream God begged.
Chia thought for a few moments. She saw the chaos that was ensuing around him. “Save them. All these people. Michael Read helped people get through their traumas. I want you to be Michael Read, not this Dream God.”
Dream God put his head on the table. He let out a loud groan. The Doctor hung up the phone.
“Chia is on Earth. Right now, they have the devil that is going to destroy the planet. Give it a day or two and everyone on Earth will be gone, that includes Chia.” The Doctor advised.
Dream God sat back. His head on the wall behind him, looking up to the ceiling. He had some decisions to make.

Earth, London, 1963…
Cassie had been running around Shoreditch Park as Tommy took pictures of her as she jumped around. They had been living in London for the past few months, they had since gotten together as Cassie had decided that she was going to be happy with whatever time she had here.
Seeing Jackson rejecting companionship and spiralling into a life of misery and the state of his apartment barely being suitable for a bomb hit city, never mind modern day London.
It had been a big adjustment for her, no more TVs or phones. Cassie just had to enjoy the life that she had been given. She had never gone outside so much in her life; meeting Tommy had also been an amazing experience for her. Cassie never had time to dedicate herself to a relationship like she had to this one.
“On the bench! Strike me a pose.” Tommy chuckled.
Cassie got up on the bench as she put her fingers into a gun pose. Like she was in a Bond film. She pointed them at an angle as Tommy used his Canon Demi which was a portable camera in 1963 and snapped multiple pictures.
“Come here.” Cassie said as she sat on the bench. She grabbed the camera from him and turned it around.
Tommy put his arm around her, smiling as they both looked into the camera.
“Say cheese.” Cassie said.
“I hate cheese!” Tommy gave a disgusted face.
“Fine! Say Combustion Trains.” Cassie chuckled as they both smiled as she took a photo.
Then she spotted someone. It was from her past or should I say her future. Time is a big ball of wibbly wobbly sometimes.
She stared at the old man and his granddaughter as they were walking through the park.
“You see Susan. The Humans like to document themselves in different places. They are a peculiar bunch.” The First Doctor said.
“I think its nice.” Susan smiled.
Cassie ran up to them as she tapped the Doctor on his shoulder.
“Hello!” Cassie smiled. “You’re the Doctor, right?”
“Depends on who is asking my dear.” The Doctor put his hands on his jacket, seeming to hold it up, he had his head slightly tilted in the arrogant manner that the First Doctor was known to do.
“Grandfather don’t be so rude! I’m sorry for him. People aren’t his thing.” Susan apologised. “What is it that you want?”
“It’s amazing to see you. You’re the original!” Cassie was beaming as Tommy had joined her. “See the Doctor. The man I had told you about.”
Tommy took a good look at the elderly man in front of him. “You described him as young. And wearing colourful clothes.” Tommy pointed to the First Doctor. “He is wearing dark clothes.”
“I see. You have had the pleasure of meeting a future incarnation.” The First Doctor realised. “I will not hear anymore of my future. What I know may never happen. Is that understood?”
Cassie nodded but she was too happy to speak.
“Come on Susan.” The First Doctor said as he turned his back to them.
“DOCTOR! Wait. Can I get a photo with you?” Cassie asked.
The First Doctor considered this. “I do not see a reason that we couldn’t.”
“Tommy can you take a photo of us three?” Cassie asked.
A man came behind them. “I can take a photo of all of you.” The man suggested.
“Sure. Just hold it up and press this.” Tommy told him.
The four got together as the man took the picture.
Cassie bounced to get the camera back as the man who took the picture went on his way. “It is such an honour to meet you.” She smiled.
“I look forward to it.” The First Doctor said as he took Susan’s arm.
“Where to, grandfather?” Susan asked him.
“Cavemen! You will like it, Susan.” The First Doctor and Susan went off. Heading out of the park.
Cassie hugged Tommy as she didn’t know what to do with herself. “It’s okay Cass.” Tommy tried to reassure her. “We can get a 99 Flake!”
“I would like that.” Cassie had tears rolling down her face. She didn’t know how much she missed the Doctor till now. She wondered what was going on in Wommax and Earth in the future. She missed being in modern times.

The Jacksons House, Wommax, Year: Alpha 36.5...
Lake Jackson and his mother Mordred were sitting back at their house. They had been analysing the Live Photo of Lake’s brother, Jackson.
This Live Photo showed how many years had passed by for Jackson. He went from a man in his 20s when he left Wommax to a man into his 70s. This had horrified Mordred who had been quiet since they had returned home. They were unsure on what to do next, Lake had gotten her medication into bags, readying to leave.
The God of Death, Sutekh, had been walking around Wommax, destroying skyscrapers, flipping cars and most importantly killing the citizens of Wommax.
“Okay mum we have to get out of here.” Lake tried to get her to leave her bed.
“Why? It’s all my fault.” Mordred said.
Lake sighed. “He chose to leave to save you. If we don’t leave then his sacrifice will be worth nothing. Do you understand?” Lake told her.
He went outside to see what was going on. Not even a mile away there were buildings that had been overturned.
Mordred turned to the edge of the room. Something had caught her attention.
It was in the mirror.
“Lake!” Mordred shouted.
Lake ran back into the house, the tone of his mothers voice had fear in it like he had never heard before. There his worst fear had come true.
Mordred Jackson was gone.
“MUM! WHERE ARE YOU?!” Lake shouted as he frantically looked around the room. Checking if she had fallen under the bed. He looked in the other rooms in the house and came back to the bedroom.
That’s when he saw it.
In the mirror a young woman was smiling at him. She waved at him and pointed in the distance.
Lake moved closer to the mirror, trying to make out what she was pointing to. Far away was a woman who had been tied up. It wasn’t just any woman; it was his mother.
She was squirming in the darkness that was inside the mirror. A fire was slowly crawling towards her. Lake hit the mirror, but it did not make a dent.
The God of Mirrors offered a hand as she put it through the mirror and into the real world.
Jackson considered whether to take it. Was it all a trap? Was his mother actually in there? Who the hell was this woman?
He took her hand.
Getting dragged into the Mirror Dimension seemed like he was moving through a breeze. He didn’t feel anything as his body passed through the mirror. He let go of the God of Mirrors hand and looked back to where he had just come from.
He could see Mordred’s room on the other side of the mirror. He touched the mirror; it had returned to its physical form.
His mothers scream stopped his curiosity as he ran to her. Undoing the ropes that tied her.
“What are you?” Lake shouted.
The God of Mirrors put her palms out as words appeared above her.
I am the God of Mirrors. You know the being known as the Doctor. Take me to him.
The words that were in the air floated away.
“We don’t know where he is.” Lake admitted. “How do you know he is still alive? I mean there are Gods coming out of that vortex. Do you really think one man can defeat them?”
He helped his mother to her feet. Wrapping her arm around his shoulders as he held her up. Mordred was getting weaker.
“Medication.” Modred managed to whisper.
“Its in the bag…” Lake then realised where they were. “That is in the house.” His voice trailed off as he turned to the God of Mirrors. “You need to release us. My mother will die otherwise!”
The God of Mirrors folded her arms.
No Doctor. No freedom. He needs to be here.

Earth, London, 2008...
Akira was screaming as she was put on the sofa in the house. The old woman above her tried to get her to remain quiet.
“Akira. Please.” She begged as footsteps ran into the room.
“You’re late! It’s the end of the world and you’re late.” Elisa told them off. “Tom is getting worried in the bunk. He is making some food, let’s go.”
“Who is this?” Akira had tears streaming down her face. The child was still frightened by this stranger who had grabbed her.
Elisa tried to move them. “Bunk first.”
The house shook as the ground below them opened up. Akira fell into it as Elisa and the old woman jumped to catch her. They grabbed an arm each.
Below Akira was fire and magma that threatened to jump up at them. It crackled, like it was soup was being brewed. The flames jumped to Akira as she swung her feet to avoid the flames.
“AHHHHHHH!” Akira screamed as Elisa and the old woman struggled to pull her up.
“Come on. Pull.” Elisa said as they got some traction.
They pulled Akira out of the hole. A big sigh of relief came between them.
Elisa’s phone rang as rejected the call. The three had rushed out of the house and were heading to the bunker.
Akira stopped when they were outside and looked around. The sky was flaming red, and the ground had opened up all around them. The neighbourhood was falling apart.
“Should we be heading for the bunker if the ground is opening up?” Akira asked them.
This caused them to stop.
“That reminds me.” The old woman ran from them.
“HEY!” Elisa shouted after her, she decided to stay with Akira.
Tom finally made his way out of the bunk with a panicked look painted across his face. “My soup! The ground took it! I had some killer veg that I had been growing for months.” He complained as he took in the surroundings.
Elisa’s phone rang again. This time she picked it up.
“Elisa. It’s Kate. I’ve not been able to get a hold of Cassie. Do you have Akira with you?” Kate Stewart asked her.
“How do you know about Akira?” Elisa asked.
“We keep tabs on the Doctors associates. We informed him of Akira’s disappearance. Is she with you?” Kate demanded.
“Of course. Why would she not be?” Elisa demanded as the ground around them opened up as they ran from it.
The streets of London were full of buildings that had fallen. The shard had smashed into … well … shards of glass. Big ben had chimed for the last time. The river Thames was flowing through parts of London.
“A contact said an old woman had her.” Kate was confused.
“That’s just family. Where do we go? Is there anywhere in London that is safe?” Elisa asked.
“I will send directions to your phone. It will lead to a UNIT base that we use in emergency situations.” Kate Stewart told them.
Akira, Elisa and Tom made their way through ruined London and towards Kate. The devil was causing chaos throughout London.

Wommax, Year: Alpha 36.5...
The Doctor had gotten into his TARDIS as he moved around Wommax. He kept the TARDIS floating in the sky as he opened the doors. Beneath him the destruction of Wommax was there to see.
It had been clinical. If the people of Wommax hadn’t evacuated earlier the casualties would’ve been in the thousands. One large God was walking on all fours on top of the fallen buildings. A shake off its head would down another building.
“SUTEKH.” The Doctor shouted from above the God.
Sutekh’s red eyes focussed on the Doctor. The large dog/lion looking God turning to face the Time Lord. It seemed to smile at the sight of him.
“Doctor. I have been waiting for so long to see you again.” Sutekh said as it sat like a dog, its golden/green robe floating slightly in the wind.
“I will give you a warning. Send you and your Pantheon back to the vortex and never come back.” The Doctor shouted to the God.
“We have spent millennia finding a way back to the universe. Why would we leave? We are just getting started. Soon I will be all powerful once again and the universe will be mine. I will wipe out everything in existence and create a universe in my image.” Sutekh chuckled. “You may have stopped me once, Doctor, but this time I have help. You cannot win.”
Sutekh waved his hand to the Doctor as the TARDIS shot up into the sky. The Doctor fell back into the console room. He clutched at his stomach; he had whiplash.
The Doctor felt the TARDIS being pulled towards Sutekh as he went to the console. He looked on his monitor, he was getting dangerously close to him now. In a moment he dematerialised.
He materialised again.
Still flying in the air, the TARDIS went to Sutekh and hit the God of Death across the head. It hit the ground as it turned to face the TARDIS.
Sutekh pointed towards it, a dust cloud quickly catching up with the Type 40 TARDIS.
It rocked the time machine as the Doctor fell to the ground. The TARDIS shook violently as the dust cloud engulfed it. The Doctor couldn’t get up in time.
“Come on.” The Doctor told himself.
He grabbed onto a side railing and forced himself up. The blue box was still throwing itself around. The Doctor jumped to the console unit and pulled a lever.
It landed on the ground. The TARDIS had come to a stop.
The Doctor was breathing heavily as he staggered out of the TARDIS. Waiting for him was Sutekh, the large dog/lion bright red eyed beast looked down upon him.
“The Doctor, the universe, we want it, everything and nothing.” Sutekh stated.
The Time Lord collapsed to his knees, the dust cloud seemed to have affected him greatly. He had no energy left.
“The Toymaker said you were coming. The One Who Waits. What do you want from the universe?” The Doctor asked.
“I am a God. We have a right to rule. This is the universe that I want.” Sutekh informed him. “Now the last thing that could stop me is on the floor, in front of me. The being that dared defeat me before is now an ant that I will stamp on.”
The Doctor to his feet. “Sutekh. The God of boring speeches.” The Doctor smiled.
“You will bow down to me, Doctor. I will destroy everything that you ever loved.” Sutekh chuckled.
“See. Boring.” The Doctor pointed his sonic to his TARDIS.
The box lifted in the air as it swerved around Sutekh. It spun around him getting faster and faster. Sutekh couldn’t keep up with it. It tried to bat it away, but it couldn’t. A cloud of electricity was forming around the God of Death.
“WHAT. IS. THIS?” Sutekh shouted.
“Time energy. The purest kind.” The Doctor smiled as Sutekh yelled out.
A brilliant flash of light appeared as the TARDIS was lifted high in the sky. Sutekh was clutching at his chest, clearly worn down by what had just happened.
The Doctor got a small device from his pocket. “Okay Wommax forces. Put a perimeter around Sutekh. A forcefield should hold it for a few hours now.”
Planes quickly came over as soldiers dropped out of them. They had devices that they put around the God of Death, activating the blue forcefield.
“These chains can not hold me for long.” Sutekh warned.
“It should hold you till I figure out what to do.” The Doctor said from the other side of the forcefield. He looked to a soldier. “Tell me if anything happens.” Soldiers stayed stationed around the God of Death, holding weapons at the ready.
Sutekh roared loudly as the Doctor got back into his TARDIS and went back to the Wommax base to deal with the next God that had escaped the vortex.

Earth, London, 1966…
Cassie and Tommy were on a walk. They looked happy as can be.
“You are a genius!” Tommy shouted.
“I told you I was from the future.” Cassie remarked as they were counting their winnings. “Wait. Does that make me Biff?” She pondered.
“It makes you the most amazing girlfriend ever!” Tommy remarked. They had walked around their favourite park, high on life from their winnings.
“Us winning the world cup in 66 is the only thing that I remember about sports. We still need to work.” Cassie warned him.
Tommy hardly cared about what they would be doing past this very moment. The sunset was a fiery red and yellow mix.
“Red sky at night, shepherds delight.” Tommy chuckled.
“I forget you were a farmer for so long. Do you miss that life?” Cassie asked him.
Tommy had a larger than life smile. “Any life with you is the perfect one.”
He took Cassie by her hand. “Everything okay?” Cassie asked him.
“Its super okay.” Tommy got down on one knee. “From the day you released the chickens on my field. Everyday has been perfect and I want everyday to be perfect for the rest of my life.”
Cassie didn’t know how to contain her emotions in this moments.
“Cassie Wells. I love you more than anything. Will you marry me?” Tommy dared not look up. He was nervous to how she would answer. He knew all the power was in her hands now.
“Tommy Tunbridge. I want to spend forever and ever with you. I will marry you.” Cassie smiled as Tommy hugged her, they were both crying.
“Aren’t you missing something?” Cassie pointed to her ring finger.
Tommy looked embarrassed. “I’m sorry I was going to do this next week. I haven’t bought it yet, but you bet that I will. First thing Monday!”
A man with a flute then came by. He seemed like a hobo as he brought something out of his pocket. “A ring.” He smiled. “Well. Go on. Take it. It comes from out of space.” The Beetles hairstyle tramp looking man said.
In a kilt, another man stood next to him. “I’m sorry about him.” Jamie said in a Scottish accent.
“The Doctor?” Cassie asked as she suddenly recognised him. “From Gallifrey?”
“I seem to have underestimated you. Who are you?” The 2nd Doctor demanded.
“Spoilers.” Cassie smiled. She noticed she had a camera around her neck.
Tommy took the ring that the 2nd Doctor had offered him. He asked a stranger if they would take their picture.
“A picture?” The 2nd Doctor put a hand through his hair. It came out looking the same it had before. “Got to look nice.” He chuckled. He held his flute out.
“Is this wise, Doctor?” Jamie asked.
“The girl knows of Gallifrey.” The 2nd Doctor reassured him. “Can I assume you are a future companion of mine?”
Cassie tutted. “Companion is a very outdated term. We are friends. Or will be friends. Timey stuff.” Cassie smiled as the stranger took the photo of the four of them.
He handed the camera back to Cassie.
“If I knew my photo was being taken today I would’ve worn my best clothing.” The 2nd Doctor looked at his shambolic outfit.
“You don’t have any other outfits.” Jamie chuckled.
“Don’t be so rude.” The 2nd Doctor tutted. “Hello, from future me.” The 2nd Doctor and Jamie went out of the park, they looked like a peculiar duo.
Tommy seemed quite confused. “Is this Doctor thing like a code name?” He asked.
“Kind off. It’s the same person. When they are dying they renew into another person. But they are still the same person. Simple really.” Cassie tried to explain.
Tommy took her hand. “Well, I guess this is a sort of blessing that he has given us.” He put the ring the Doctor gave her onto her finger.
“I have something to tell you.” Cassie stopped walking. She put both of her hands into Tommy’s hands as she looked him in the eyes.
“Is everything okay?” Tommy asked.
“We will see how you feel about what I am about to tell you.” Cassie took a deep breath. “I’m pregnant.”
Tommy and Cassie stood in silence for several moments. Cassie grew increasingly anxious at his lack of reaction.
Then he started jumping and shouting in the park. “I’M GOING TO BE A DAD.” He shouted. “WOO HOO.”
“You’re happy then?” Cassie had a big grin on her face as Tommy got close to her again.
“This is the best day of my life.” Tommy kissed her.
A beam of light stopped their celebrations. A figure appeared from the doorway of light. They pointed to Cassie.
But who was it? Why were they here?

Wommax, Year: Alpha 36.5…
The Doctor had returned to the base. He went to Helma as he told her the good news about Sutekh, but the news that he would receive was not so good.
“We are sorry. We tried to keep him here.” Helma pointed to the interrogation room. The door had been forced off and threw into the ceiling.
“The God of Dreams has escaped?” The Doctor asked.
“Please don’t be mad.” Helma said.
The Doctor looked confused. “Why would I be mad? He is a God. There is nothing any of us could do to keep him here. Once he got used to this universe and got more powerful. Where did he go?”
Helma brought out a tablet. It had CCTV footage.
The Dream God had escaped from his cell as he stood in the field. The footage picked up some audio as well.
“Chia. We will be together soon.” The Dream God then disappeared in a puff of smoke.
“Earth.” The Doctor muttered as he got ready to leave again.
“One more thing. There was a strong energy independent of Sutekh and the Dream God.” Helma changed what was on the tablet. It showed a house and a red spike coming from it. “These energy levels are beyond that of the other two Gods.”
“Whose house is it?” The Doctor asked.
“The Jacksons.” Helma said.
The Doctor pondered on where he should go first.
“Three things Helma. Firstly, have you processed the data I sent you? Secondly, I’m going to need some things. In this exact location. Thirdly, locate the God of Dreams. If he has gotten away then the universe may be lost.” The Doctor said.
As Helma answered him the Doctor seemed satisfied with her answers as he got into his blue box and went to the Jacksons household.
He walked around the property, until he found what he had been looking for. It was in Mordred Jackson’s room.
The house was silent except for the occasional sound of a vehicle passing by. It had an eery atmosphere, like something bad had happened.
He saw the mirror.
The Doctor scanned it, the God of Dreams had been here.
“How do I summon you?” The Doctor asked. Looking around the room as if the walls could talk and give the Doctor a clue.
The walls declined to help out the Time Lord.
He pointed his sonic screwdriver at it again.
“Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.” He smiled. The mirror changed it’s image. It went from reflecting the Doctor to filling with smoke.
The Doctor took a moment before he would step through it. He reached into his pocket.
The Live Photo of Cassie Wells. It was her and a man had now fully formed next to her, Tommy. There was something starting to appear in her arms, but it was an outline for now.
He realised he had already lost her for several years. The Doctor needed to be quick before he lost Cassie forever. He had to stop the God of Dreams and get Cassie out of the Wommax and facility and back to him. Whatever it took.
After a few moments had passed the Doctor walked through the smoke and into the mirror.
He was now in the Mirror Dimension.

White Cliffs of Dover, Earth, 2008…
Kate Stewart was part of the team that was keeping the devil back. It roared once again but was still unable to break its chains. Around Earth stories of the destruction the devil had caused was worldwide news. In the thousands people had died as the ground opened up around the planet.
“Is the Universal Projector ready?” Kate asked.
The pointed the large device to the devil. It’s large wires glowing glorious colours of pink and blue as energy ran through them.
“It is. We have to get this right.” Biggins said, he checked the diagnostics of the device.
“Get ready to fire.” Kate held her fingers in the air, counting down.
Five, four, three, two and one…
The Universal Projector erupted, the pink and blue energy changed into a lightning bolt as it hit the devil. The ancient being screamed allowed. It’s red body turning a violent shade of blue.
“It’s still standing. How is that possible?” Kate asked.
“It’s a God from outside of this universe. Funny enough we don’t have data on it.” Biggins informed her.
The winds picked up around them, a tornado formed around the devil, the lightning joined in with the tornado as it surrounded the devil.
After a few minutes everything went quiet. Smoke was coming off the devil, it took another few minutes to clear, but it revealed the devil, lying on the floor.
“Diagnostics on the devil?” Kate asked.
Biggins brought out a tablet. “You can listen for yourself.” He smiled as the device was silent. “No heartbeat. We did it.”
Kate breathed out a sigh of relief. They had finally defeated the devil!
Beep.
It came from the device it Biggin’s hand. He went still.
Beep.
“Biggins? Please don’t tell me that is what I think it is.” Kate told him.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
“Oh no.” Biggins muttered.
The devil rose to its feet. It seemed unsure of its surroundings; it inspected its chain.
“If it escapes we are all doomed.” Kate said. “Get the Universal Projector ready. We need to make sure we kill it.”
SNAP!
The giant chains that had been holding the devil in place had been snapped in two. The devil had ripped it apart with its hands. It seemed to finally have the ability to do so.
“Tell all security agencies on Earth. We have a Code Omega. I repeat we have a Code Omega.” Kate called into her walkie talkie.
Chia was suddenly near them.
“Why are you here?” Kate asked her. “You really shouldn’t be here.”
She saw an old woman in the distance, they waved at Kate, but Kate did not wave back.
“I’m supposed to be here. She told me it would be okay.” Chia walked past Kate and towards the devil.
The ancient beast from beyond the universe. The physical embodiment of evil itself had now been freed from its chains and here Chia was, standing in front of it.
“We need to get her back. It’s going to kill her.” Biggins told Kate.
“She is too close now. I can not send anyone in there without endangering our the lives of others.” Kate gulped.
“HEY! YOU STUPID GOD!” Chia shouted as she slowly walked to the devil.
The beast seemed confused by her presence, it walked towards her. It’s frame had grown to over a hundred feet, it looked down on her like a Human would to an ant. It leaned down to look at her, it’s eyes a fiery red. It smiled at her.
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to do here.” Chia was breathing heavily. She had seen her universe destroyed but being face to face with something so powerful made her feel scared.
The Devil stepped back as he took a deep breath. Fire then came out of it’s mouth as it aimed it at Chia and engulfed her in flames.

Mirror Dimension…
The Doctor checked his pocket, it was still there, his way out.
He moved through the Mirror Dimension, moving past the floating tyres that had been set alight, they seemed to dance in the moonlight. Though the Doctor could not find a moon from which the light came from.
He heard crying coming from an old large house. It wasn’t just any house, it was the Harrington Estate. Where this had started. Where the Doctor had first seen the God of Mirrors.
The Time Lord pushed open the door and he was greeted with one of the most heart breaking sounds that someone could be faced with, the cries of a Mother.
He rushed to where the sound was. Awaiting him was Mordred, she was hunched over her sons body. Lake was lying on the wooden floorboards of the bedroom.
Mordred heard the Doctor and looked over to him.
“Please. Help me.” Mordred had tried to life him up but was still too ill to be able to.
The Doctor scooped Lake up and put the adult onto the bed. Mordred continued crying. The Doctor checked his pulse, it was weak but was still there.
“Where is she?” The Doctor asked.
“Who?” Mordred replied.
“The God of Mirrors.” The Doctor said.
In a puff of smoke a figure appeared, it was the God of Mirrors! She skipped stood on the other side of the bed, leaning over to look at Lake. She smiled seeing his condition.
“You leave him alone.” Mordred told her. Trying to bat her away but she was so weak that her movements were slow.
The God of Mirrors clapped her hands. Smoke went from them as they formed a sentence.
Welcome back Doctor. This time you will not leave.
“She said if you came we would be free.” Mordred pleaded.
The God of Mirrors had her hand over her mouth, she was silently laughing behind it. The Doctor saw the mirror that she had come from.
“Let’s play our own game.” The Doctor pointed his sonic at the light above.
The room plunged into darkness. The Doctor picked up Lake’s body, pointing the device that Susan had given him at the mirror. An image of Mordred’s bedroom appeared as he threw Jackson’s body through it. He made sure Modred was nearby as he pushed her into the room.
Light filled the room as the God of Mirrors rose into the air. The mirror that had the image of the Jacksons was shattered. It was only the Doctor, and the God of Mirrors left in the room.
The Time Lord ran out of the room. Heading into the staircase as he looked for the nearest room that contained a mirror. The God of Mirrors floated towards him, lighting up the way for the Doctor to see.
He looked back to her.
I will keep hunting you. Through every mirror.
The text appeared above her head. She had a sinister smile as she saw the Doctor enter a different bedroom.
In the corner of the room was a mirror. The Doctor pointed his device at it. A new destination appeared as he jumped through the mirror.
In this room there was a single mirror at the other end of the room. He waited for the God of Mirrors to come into the room.
I will take that magic that you have. You will be trapped in the Mirror Dimension. We will win.
The words vanished in the air as quickly as they came.
The Doctor ran to the other side of the room as he pointed his device at it and jumped through the mirror.
He went into another Mirror Dimension as he waited for the God of Mirrors to follow him. She did so but she looked back to the frame. It was a look of confusion.
“Hey! Over here.” The Doctor waved his arms and ran off.
The God of Mirrors was in pursuit, flying along the ground, a red mist trailing her path. Her expressions were of anger as she pursued the Time Lord.
The Doctor hid behind a boulder. The God of Mirrors floated nearby, he could hear the gentle whoosh as she flew. The God of Mirrors stopped, the Doctor looked around for what to do. He saw a rock nearby; he grabbed it and threw it far away.
It made a loud sound as it hit the side of a small wooden house. The God of Mirrors went to it. The Doctor ran back to where he had come from.
He messed around with his device again, it opened up a portal on the mirror. He ran through it as the God of Mirrors noticed.
The Time Lord jumped through the mirror again, he scrambled for his sonic as he turned the portal off. He watched as the God of Mirrors came up to the mirror.
She tried to get through it, but she bounced right off it.
The Doctor had a grin on his face as he stepped up to the mirror.
“It’s a one way mirror.” The Time Lord chuckled.
I will find another mirror.
The letters appeared in cloud form.
“No. This is a Mirror Dimension that I created. It took a lot of energy from the TARDIS. You are trapped there.” The Doctor picked up the mirror.
In the corner of the large room was a large blue box.
The Time Lord stepped inside it with the mirror.

White Cliffs of Dover, Earth, 2008…
Fire is known for being quite hot, quite the statement I know. To survive the intense heat that is produced by a fire is quite difficult. This was a dilemma that faced Chia as she saw the fire that came from the devils mouth engulf her. She closed her eyes as if that could protect her.
Maybe it did, as when she opened them she had come off unharmed. Had she died and been transported to another plane of existence?
Standing over her the devil still stood. What had happened?
Even the beast that inspired the idea of hell seemed confused.
Then she saw it, more specifically saw him.
“Chia!” The God of Dreams had made his way to her. He pulled her into a hug.
The beast above seemed confused by what was going on. It looked to the Dream God, not knowing what he was doing.
“I can’t let you take her.” The Dream God said.
“Michael!” Chia smiled. “I’ve heard some things about you. But we can deal with that later.”
“Time to go. Back to Wommax.” The Dream God said as Chia took a few steps away from him.
“And leave that beast here? To destroy this planet? All these people?” Chia was angry. This planet had helped her and now she was being told they wanted to abandon it.
“It is where the Pantheon of Gods is. We have come here to rule the universe. You can join us.” Dream God insisted.
“I am not a God, Michael. I feel like I don’t know you anymore. We saw our world perish and now you want to run away. Did you run away in our universe too?” Chia was shouting at him now.
Dream God had a shocked expression on his face. “I couldn’t save our planet. What had come was far more powerful than me. Now let’s go, please Chia.”
Chia sat on the ground. The devil was waiting above them, seemingly also awaiting his decision.
“You are Michael Read. You save people. That’s who you are. Not some vengeful God who wants to rule over everyone.” Chia said.
The Dream God looked up to the devil. The beast roared again as it breathed fire over them. They came out unscathed as the Dream God had his hand up, preventing the flames from harming Chia. He walked up to the devil, barely taller than its feet.
“I’m sorry.” Dream God said to it. He put a hand on its foot, his hand barely covering the width of a hair on the foot of the devil.
The large beast collapsed to the ground. It had fallen into a dreamlike state. He looked back to Chia and further to the UNIT soldiers who didn’t know what to do.
Chia ran up to him. “Thank you, Michael.” She cried.
“I thought I had lost you.” Michael the Dream God admitted as he hugged her. “You’re right. Being a God wasn’t me.”
They pulled out of the hug as UNIT stared back at them.
Kate walked up to him. “Can’t believe I am saying this. Thank you.” Kate was shocked by her own statement. It had only been a year since the Dream God had terrorised Earth by sending people deep into dreams and they had to send him back through the void. Now here he was saving the Earth.
“It wasn’t for you.” The Dream God said as he looked to Chia. “What now?” He asked.
“Me. You. Together. That is all.” Chia smiled.
“We will see.” Dream God said. “Sutekh is more powerful than all of us Gods. More could still come through the vortex too.”

White Cliffs of Dover, Earth 2008…
The Doctor landed his TARDIS but the sight that he saw when he came out of the blue box was not one that he had been expecting.
From what he had heard before the Earth was a hellish place with the ground opening up all over the globe, separating people from their lives. Now he saw the great beast that was so powerful that it’s conscience had created the idea of evil across the universe was laying on the ground.
He saw the Kate and went up to her.
“What happened?” The Doctor asked.
Kate was in as much shock as the Doctor. The UNIT team had prepared the Universal Projector.
“The God of Dreams came back but because of love he helped us.” Kate responded.
The Doctor saw that Chia was with the Dream God as he went up to them. They had been staring into each other’s eyes like two people that if they looked away they would never be able to see each other again.
“Chia? God of Dreams? What happened?” The Doctor asked.
A bright beam of blue and green light came from the Universal Projector and into the devil. It no longer could protect itself with the great power that it held. It’s body dissipated into small bits which went into the vortex.
“Michael. Call me Michael Read.” Dream God smiled.
“Am I to be believe you have just turned good?” The Doctor asked.
Chia chuckled as she looked to the Doctor. “Michael Read was always a good man. He just forgot who he was.”
“I will be back for you! Go nowhere.” The Doctor ordered as he went up to Kate.
Kate smiled as she saw the devil had left their universe. “Can I trust him?” She asked.
“I’m not sure. Keep Chia around though. She is the thing keeping him good.” The Doctor replied. “I’m going to need that Universal Projector.”
“We can do that. That vortex is still open, will other beings of that nature come through?” The head of UNITs science division asked.
“I don’t know. I’m going to try to make sure nothing comes through the vortex, ever again.” The Doctor told her. “Just give me the Universal Projector.”
Kate seemed confused. “The Universal Projector is not powerful enough to close the vortex, believe me we have tried.”
UNIT soldiers had the device pointed to the vortex that was still open on the White Cliffs of Dover, it hadn’t made a different.
“I know.” The Doctor began. “I’m not using it on the vortex.”
With that the Time Lord went to his TARDIS. Kate told her UNIT soldiers to put the Universal Projector in the TARDIS, which they did then the Doctor went to his next destination.

Wommax Facility, Year: Alpha 36.5…
The Doctor looked to the Live Photo that he had in his pocket. It showed Cassie, Tommy and a small baby was in her arms. They were smiling towards him, like they could see him. He put the photo away.
She has been in there long enough.
He thought.
The Doctor wondered around his TARDIS. Nearby was the God of Mirrors who was banging on the mirror that she had been trapped in.
LET ME OUT.
She had the message written on the window.
“I don’t think so honey. You tried to trap me first!” The Doctor chuckled.
The God of Mirrors folded her arms and faced away from the Time Lord. The TARDIS materialised in its next location, the Wommax Facility.
He went out of it, awaiting him was Helma.
“We have the reports you asked for.” She handed him some graphs and charts.
“Thank you for getting those mirrors set up.” The Doctor smiled.
“Where is she now?” Helma asked.
“In a mirror, in there.” The Doctor pointed to the TARDIS as he went through the data.
He went to the control panel off the Wommax Facility, they were in the so called Time Jail, where they kept those who were being held in the past.
“What are you doing?” Helma asked.
The portal which they used to take people away and bring them up lit up. It lit up a brilliant white light creating a path to a different time period, on Earth.
“What do you think?” The Doctor went up to the portal.
Helma grabbed his arm as she pulled him back. “You know we can’t bring her back. She is the only reason nothing else has come through that vortex. The time energy we get from her is unlike anything we have seen before. Bring her back and all the Gods can come through.”
“I have to try. It’s my fault for leaving her there. Maybe we can swap places, I must be brimming with time energy.” The Doctor tried.
“You are not Human. These machines aren’t designed to cultivate energy from a Time Lord.” Helma told him as she tried to pull the Doctor further away from the portal.
“How do you know I am a Time Lord?” The Doctor seemed confused.
Helma showed him the charts. “We have had a long time to research. Two hearts, can change face, only thing we found that resembled that was a Time Lord, they are the stuff of legend.”
The Doctor saw a figure emerge from the portal.
It was Cassie Wells.
The Doctor sprinted towards her, hugging her as he did so. She hugged back.
“Hey!” Cassie smiled.
“I’m so happy you are back.” The Doctor chuckled.
“I have so much to tell you! I met the most wonderful of men.” Cassie brought out a photo of herself. The Doctor brought out the Live Photo that he had.
“I saw. You all look like an amazing family.” The Doctor said.
Cassie took the Live Photo as she inspected it. She saw herself starting to fade from it as well as the others.
“What is happening?” Cassie asked as she handed the photo back to the Doctor.
Helma stood forward. “Cassie Wells, I take it. You need to return to the time period we have sent you. Without the time energy that you generate the Gods will soon emerge from the vortex.”
“Doctor? What is she talking about? Why is my family disappearing from that photo?” Cassie asked, the Doctor hid the photo from her.
He put his hands on her shoulders. “Don’t worry about her. You are back. That is all that matters. We can defeat the Gods together; we have done it before.”
“All of them? What about my family?” Cassie asked, close to tears.
“You can never see them again if you come back.” Helma bluntly told her.
“Is this true, Doctor?” Cassie had tears rolling from her cheeks.
The Doctor didn’t know what to do. This was odd for him. “Yes. The graphs that Helma produced showed that you generate more energy than the rest of the people trapped in put together. But we can defeat the Gods, you have to trust me.” He begged.
Cassie looked to the photo of her family that she had. This one was in black and white but still conveyed just how happy her, Tommy and the baby were.
“Since my parents died when I was young I have been looking for a family. Tommy and the baby are the best things to happen to me. Now I have that I cannot let it go.” Cassie said.
“What about me? Akira?” The Doctor asked.
“Don’t do that. That is not fair.” Cassie was crying once again. “I love Akira more than anything. Don’t make me choose. That is cold, even for you.”
A loud crash came from far away.
“The protection that we had is collapsing. Without Cassie it will go.” Helma told them.
The Doctor pulled Cassie into a hug. “I’m sorry. I should never have said that. You are an amazing person. I will keep track of you.”
They separated as the Doctor showed her the Live Photo, though the family that was on it was close to being completely vanished.
“We look to generate as much time energy as possible.” Helma informed them.
“Oh. Does that mean?” The Doctor asked.
“It does.” Helma smiled.
The Doctor laughed.
“What? I can’t speak in whatever code you guys have going on. I would need that enigma machine they had back in the day.” Cassie laughed.
The Doctor looked to Cassie once again. “It keeps you alive. You will age slower than everyone around you. By the clothing I would say you landed in the 1960s. I reckon you will live to be reunited with Akira again. Perhaps you can raise her, or your kids can.”
“I met past you. Several past version of you in fact.” Cassie showed her black and white photograph of her family to the Time Lord. “You gave me this ring. I have photos with several of you now!”
“I wondered where that ring went. That was my mothers. Take care of it.” The Doctor noticed the ring that Cassie wore. He saw the Gallifreyan symbols that were on the ring. “Why don’t I remember meeting you?”
“We haven’t been having adventures together. I just see you going around, your quite easy to spot, silly man with a silly outfit rambling about some random thing.” Cassie chuckled.
BANG!
“We really need you to return.” Helma insisted as Cassie nodded.
“Can you free someone?” Cassie asked.
Helma considered this. “Not really. Maybe one person but we need everything we can throw at this vortex. Did you have anyone in particular in mind?”
“Jackson. First and last name is the same. Dumb, I know.” Cassie smiled. “For me saving the universe just free him.” She chuckled.
“You are a cosmic event. This is what they meant.” The Doctor chuckled as him and Cassie hugged one last time.
“You might never see her again, Doctor. We might have to use the rest of her life to defeat this.” Helma warned him.
Cassie didn’t seem to care as she had made her way to the vortex. “Just promise me one thing Doctor.” She shouted to him.
“What would that be?” The Doctor asked.
“Win. Save us all.” Cassie replied.
“For you. Goodbye Cassie Wells.” The Doctor waved.
“If you do win and you can then come and visit me. Goodbye, Doctor.” Cassie Wells stepped into the portal. A bright flash of white light filled the room as the portal turned off.
Segment 6[]
Helma went back to checking the readings. “Defences back up and running. What do we do?”
The Doctor wiped a tear from his eye. He took a deep breath and then focussed. “Shut down the vortex. Use everything, we can but stop when it is done.”
“I don’t think we have enough time energy.” Helma pointed to the readings that the Doctor had told her to get earlier.
“I have a time machine. That and your machine should produce enough time energy and close this vortex.” The Doctor told her. He pressed a lever as the portal opened up once again.
“What are you doing?” Helma snapped.
A figure came through the portal. A man. An elderly one. One who had spent over 50 years away.
“Hello?” Jackson asked, collapsing to the ground. “Am I?”
The Doctor picked him up. “I will take you home. You have been brilliant.”
Helma shut off the portal once again. She put up the power, using the time of hundreds of people and Cassie.
“In ten minutes, this machine will be ready to close the vortex. Be ready for then.” Helma warned him. “We need everything. What are you going to do about Sutekh?”
“I have a plan. Keep me informed. Let’s do this quick so Cassie doesn’t lose too much time.” The Doctor threw over a small device. “This is to stay in contact with me.”
The Doctor helped Jackson to his feet, using his arm to keep the old man up. In his other hand he took out the Live Photo that he had. Cassie had a baby in her arms with Tommy smiling, he had a hand out and an outline was forming.

The Jackson’s Household, Wommax, Year: Alpha 36.5…
A blue box landed in the home of Mordred Jackson. Her son Lake went up to it, inspecting what it could be. They had just been thrown from a Mirror Dimension and back into their home, the day had been quite a surreal one already. Now thrown in a magical blue box appearing from nowhere and it made for a very intriguing time indeed.
Lake and Mordred went back from the box, fearing what could be inside it.
A door swung open. An old man entered their home following the dashing colourfully clothed Time Lord that followed him.
Who was this old man that was coughing on their floor. His hair had grown long and into a wild mess as he looked up to Lake.
“Jackson?” Lake asked recognising his brothers eyes.
“Lake?” Jackson asked, equally confused.
The Doctor helped pick Jackson up. “Now your brother has given up his life to helping the defence of Wommax. He is one of the reasons that the barriers to the vortex haven’t collapsed and other Gods are stuck outside of this universe. Clean him up. Help him adjust to life again. Care for him and make up for the time you have lost.”
Lake pulled his brother into a hug. “I’m so sorry.” He cried.
Mordred went as quickly as her flailing body would allow her; she was also crying. “My son! With the money we got for your time you saved my life.” She cried. “We didn’t know they would take you away for so long.”
Jackson pulled back from his family. “I never thought I would see you guys again. I’m just so happy! You haven’t aged a day!” He smiled.
“You certainly have.” Lake chuckled as his mother elbowed him in the ribs.
“I’m going to have to go.” The Doctor went back to his TARDIS. “The universe still needs to be saved. I have a feeling you guys have a lot to talk about.”
The Jackson family were huddled together again, each of them crying as hard as the others.
The Doctor went back into his blue box. He knew they had to win; he had sacrificed too much for them to come up short now.

Wommax Fields, Year: Alpha 36.5…
Sutekh even in his currently less powerful state was still a being of extraordinary power. If given a few days in this universe he could do as he wanted to it. Every being would have no choice but to bow down to him or face death.
The shields keeping him in his spot were faltering as Sutekh felt his power returning to him. His God like abilities becoming a part of his true form once again.
The lion/doglike God roared as his eyes shone a furious red. He threw his arms up as the shields that had contained him collapsed into a million pieces. The soldiers on the ground shot at him.
Bullets did not mean much to a Godly being. He swiped a paw as all those around him turned to dust.
Other soldiers tried bigger weapons; bazookas hit him but served only to mildly annoy the ancient being. He looked at them as they weapons turned to the dust and then the people.
Something spinning quickly through the air caught his eye.
A blue box!
It danced through the sky. Sutekh pointed a paw to it, it stopped in its tracks.
He laughed softly as he forced a door to open. He made the TARDIS point downwards as a Time Lord flung out of it, catching the other door.
The Doctor hung in the air. He locked eyes with the God of Death.
“Doctor. You thought you could contain me.” The Lion/doglike creature chuckled. “You are nothing but a little Time Lord. What can you do to a God such as myself.”
The Doctor seemed annoyed by this. He looked to the Live Photo, the second baby had arrived, sitting in Tommy’s arms.
“Sutekh! Your reign has come to an end. A day long reign. Pathetic. How long have you spent in that Pantheon?” The Doctor shouted, barely clinging on.
“You are a funny one. First I will destroy you and then I will destroy this planet and every being that tried to keep me in that wretched dimension. I had to talk to other Gods. They were tiresome. The Toymaker, The Trickster, God of Mirrors and Dreams, the Devil, Zeus and those loud Viking Gods. Too many voices, not enough vision. I am out. I will rule this plane of existence.” Sutekh said in his deep cutting voice.
The Doctor couldn’t hold onto the TARDIS as he let go. He landed with a thud and laid on the ground for a few minutes.
Sutekh walked on all fours to the Time Lord. He leant into him; his bright red eyes fixed on him.
“How did I let you defeat me those thousands of years ago? The other members of the Pantheon spoke about you with such frightful expressions of speech. Yet here you are. Pathetic as the rest of the peoples of this universe. You are not a God. You are nothing.” Sutekh bellowed out.
He grabbed the Doctor by the throat. The claws on his hands cutting into the Doctor’s throat. The Doctor gasped for air as he managed to reach into his pocket.
His sonic screwdriver!
He pointed it at the TARDIS. The blue box landed to the ground with a thud. Sutekh threw the Doctor to the side as the God of Death approached the blue box.
“This is all you have got?” Sutekh chuckled. “It will make it easier to travel this universe. I can go to any planet, any time and destroy it, in an instant.” The God seemed to take great delight in this talk.
The Doctor had managed to get to his feet. His face had been bloodied by the impact he had from when Sutekh had thrown him. He was breathing heavily as he faced the old God.
A noise came into his ear.
“We are seeing a lot of activity coming through the vortex. The other Gods are coming through. We need to enact the plan now.” Helma screamed on the other end of the call.
“Wait, you don’t have enough power to close it without the TARDIS. You are going to waste a lot of energy, a lot of time.” The Doctor said.
“I’m sorry Doctor. It has to be now.” Helma cut off the communication.
Sutekh was between the Doctor and the TARDIS.
“Interesting. You need this to close the vortex. It’s a shame you will never get to it.” Sutekh said as he laid in front of the blue box.
The Doctor laughed manically. “You don’t see it, do you?”
“This is a bluff. You have nothing. Your friends will perish. Your universe is gone.” Sutekh stated as the God didn’t move.
“You opened the TARDIS doors.” The Doctor said.
The Time Lord pointed his sonic screwdriver towards the TARDIS.
The Universal Projector shot out a blast at Sutekh as the God of Death tried to move away but found it couldn’t.
“It won’t be enough to finish me.” Sutekh warned. “I will grow stronger and then you will never be able to stop me.”
The Doctor went past the shrivelling lion/doglike Dog as he went into the TARDIS.
“This TARDIS is run on time energy. It will take a lot out of the poor girl, but she has enough to send you away forever.” The Doctor pulled open the console unit. The time vortex itself was revealed.
A beam of orange/red and white light flowed in the Universal Projector. It’s blast got a lot bigger as the God of Death tried to put a paw in front its face but that disappeared into nothingness.
“NO. YOU CANNOT DO THIS. I AM THE GOD OF DEATH. I WILL NOT BE STOPPED!” Sutekh shouted as he roared. He tried to wave a pour at the TARDIS, but it refused to move.
Sutekh’s body dissipated into the air. His head was all that remained as it floated.
“You will see me again Time Lord. I am Sutekh the God of Death! I WILL HAVE REVENGE!” Sutekh’s head disappeared. His remains floating to the vortex.
The Doctor turned off the Universal Projector and ran around his console unit. Setting it to go to the vortex. He took out the Live Photo.
It had Cassie, Tommy and three others, the others were teenagers. Cassie was greying with her skin starting to wrinkle. The people on the photo were aging with every second.
The Doctor flew the TARDIS to the vortex.
“They are almost through.” Helma came through the comms.
“I am here, Sutekh is no more.” The Doctor told her as he opened the TARDIS doors.
The time vortex went to the vortex as it joined with the laser defences that the Wommax Facility already had pointing to it. The Doctor took the mirror that held the God of Mirrors. He got the TARDIS nearer to the vortex as he threw her back into the vortex.
In a few moments the vortex exploded, leashing out a shockwave across the entirety of the planet. The TARDIS fell to the ground.
The lights were off, the blue box had shut down.
The Doctor was lying in darkness, breathing heavily. He wiped off the blood from his cheek as he managed to get up. He turned on his sonic screwdriver, using the light to find his way out. He staggered out of the TARDIS.
He looked to where the vortex had been. The bright lights that had danced around the sky, inviting the Gods into this universe had now been replaced with views of grass fields.
The Doctor laid down, leaning his body on his TARDIS.
Segment 7[]
He brought out the Live Photo of Cassie and her family.
The people on the photo got older very quickly as the photo was showing how it went from a young mid 20s Cassie Wells to an old woman, surrounded by her adult children and her young grandkids. He had missed her life.
The Doctor sighed out, wiping a tear from his eye.

Earth, London, The Old Hospital, 2006…
A nearly 70 year old Cassie Wells was in the waiting room. She looked around the room, there were parents supervising their children, an old couple holding each other up with worried expressions. Nurses and Doctors were coming in and out, calling out the names of the worried.
She remembered this moment. Looking to the clock she looked back to the hallway. A crying young woman appeared. Cassie walked up to her.
“Are you okay?” Cassie asked her younger self.
“No. I, I just can’t do it.” Young Cassie muttered.
“You are fine. You’re dealing with a lot.” Cassie tried to comfort her.
“How do you know?” Young Cassie looked into her eyes as her older self-looked away.
Older Cassie walked past her. She went to the room that her younger self had been too afraid to go into. It was a regret she had been carrying around for over 40 years.
In the hospital room there was an older man, he was laying on his back, his eyes looking to the ceiling. His breathing was short and weak. His arm dangled over the side of the bed.
Cassie took the chair next to it. Sitting in the hospital bed was her foster father who she was now older than. What a strange feeling that was.
She put his hand into hers, giving the man who had cared so much for her a brief smile.
“Cassie?” The old man squinted his eyes, too tired to move to check.
“How did you know?” Cassie asked.
“The eyes. You always had so much love in them. How did you get so old? Am I dreaming?” Kevin asked looking to his foster child.
“Would that make you happier? If this was all a dream? Maybe you will wake up and be okay.” Cassie chuckled.
Kevin chuckled too. “Wouldn’t that be wonderful? I guess it doesn’t matter. I’m just happy you are here.”
“I’m sorry I wasn’t strong enough. When I was younger I mean. Losing you was losing the only family that I had left.” Cassie explained to him.
“You never have to apologize Cassie Wells. I am proud of you. From the little child who came into my care to the amazing woman that I got to see you grow up to be.” Kevin was trying to hold back the tears but failing.
Cassie had a few tears rolling down her face.
“It was all thanks to you. I was so scared, everything I touched had turned bad. Then you saved me. I cannot thank you enough.” Cassie explained, she had thought about this moment for so long. “So, I will just say it now. Thank you.
“You want to know something?” Kevin smiled as he seemed to have life in his eyes again. “I was only meant to have you for a week. I was meant to be a temporary place. But you cried and cried.” He chuckled.
“Why did you keep me?” Cassie asked.
“Because you needed someone to stay.” Kevin slumped back into his bed once again.
Cassie couldn’t help but hug him in those moment. The two now elderly people were crying and laughing at the same time.
“I have a photo album. I thought we could go through it.” Cassie went into her bag bringing out a photo album.
“What a wonderful idea!” Kevin chuckled.
Cassie and her foster father who had stepped up and took care of her when no one else would talked for hours that night. She would hold his hand as he drifted away peacefully, spending his last day on the Earth with his favourite daughter reminiscing about the amazing life and connection that they had with one another.

Wommax Facility, Wommax, Year: Alpha 36.5…
The Doctor had returned to where Helma was. The Time Lord was staggering around, his injuries had been slowly healing.
He showed her the Live Photo that showed an elderly Cassie along with her large family.
“She’s gone.” The Doctor muttered.
Helma put him into a chair, in front of a computer. “We didn’t have to use all her life.” She pointed to the screen.
“What year?” The Doctor asked.
“2024. She is around 85 to 90 years of age.” Helma told him.
The Time Lord’s eyes lit up.
“She is alive?” He chuckled.
“The facilities here are designed to keep people alive. She probably hasn’t aged in maybe 20 years. She will have many more years.” Helma smiled as the Doctor was jumping around the room.
“That is the best news.” He spoke.
Helma pressed a few buttons on the device as portals opened up around the room. “The rest of them were barely used. Cassie was worth far more time energy than the rest of them. Something about travelling through the time vortex.”
Hundreds of people appeared out of the portals. They seemed dazed, looking to one another for an answer. Helma clapped in front of them, getting their attention.
“On behalf of all citizens of Wommax we would like to thank you for the sacrifices that you have made. The vortex is now shut. You are free to live your lives once again. Compensation will be awarded to you shortly.” Helma told them as a cheer went out in the crowd. “Now. Go and find your families. Live your life. Make it a good one.”
The crowd dispersed. Leaving the Wommax Facility.
“Did you bring Cassie back?” The Doctor was looking around.
“She chose to stay on Earth Doctor.” Helma regretfully informed her. “You can visit her now. We have shut down the machine. Theres nothing stopping you.”
The Doctor looked to the portal. Wanting to jump in it instantly. He went to the computers, typing in at a ferocious speed.
“My parting gift to you. This will shut down the time aspect of your machines. No more sending people back. I am putting in instructions for cultivating energy from the sun. It won’t be as powerful as time energy but you’re no longer defending a vortex. It is not needed anymore. I just need a favour from you.” The Doctor said.
“Anything.” Helma replied.
“My TARDIS. It is recovering from saving the universe. It’s going to take a long time to repair itself so is in no condition to travel. I need you to bring it here and use this portal to transport it to Earth then I will also go.” The Doctor instructed.
“Consider it done.” Helma smiled. “We will also be arresting anyone who is found to have abused this facility. Such as a man in a suit who exploited our citizens. Wommax will start a golden age. Come visit us when you can.”
“Thank you for everything, Helma. You are wonderful.” The Doctor said.
The Doctor spent the time that it took to bring the TARDIS to the facility creating code for the new energy system that Wommax would use. They wouldn’t have to use their citizens time anymore. They transported the blue box to Earth, 2024.
Now the Doctor stood at the portal, waiting to go through.
He looked at the Live Photo once again.
“See you soon.” The Doctor smiled as he looked to Helma. “Do it.”
Helma switched on the portal for the final time. “Good luck Doctor.” She shouted.
The Doctor gave a small wave as he jumped into the doorway of white light and went to look for Cassie Wells.
**
White Cliffs of Dover, Earth, 2008…
Akira had spotted her again. The old lady they had seen earlier. The child wondered who she was as Todd and Elisa came to her.
They had been transported the three here for safety.
The old woman was also in the room as she walked up to Akira. She knelt down to her level.
“Hello Akira.” She smiled.
Akira took a long look at her. There was something familiar about her eyes. But how could it be?
“Cassie? Earth mum?” Akira asked, getting closer.
“Yes! I’m so happy that you recognise me even with these wrinkles.” Old Cassie pulled Akira into a hug. “I’m so glad you are okay.”
“What happened? Not to be rude but you looked a lot younger yesterday.” Akira was unsure of how to feel, should she be happy to see her? Or be scared by how quickly she had seemed to have aged?
“I got sent back in time. I will explain everything to you. You know my youngest child.” Cassie indicated for Todd to join her. “Todd Tommy Wells.”
“Wait. Your best friend growing up is your son?” Akira was shocked by the reveal.
“It would seem so. I told him growing up to never mention me to his friends. He figured out it was me. Apparently our aversion to mixing food gave it away.” Cassie chuckled.
Akira took a deep breath. “This is a lot.” She spoke. “I do have a question.”
“This changes nothing about us. We still want you in our family.” Cassie reassured her.
“Of course you do. I’m amazing!” Akira smiled. “It’s not that. It’s something more important.”
The others waited for what her question would be, what could be so important?
“Can we still do our trip to Europe?” Akira asked.
Cassie laughed at this. “Yes! I asked Kate before I got here. It’s all paid for. I’m talking first class flights, the best hotels and sunset beaches.”
They would chat away for hours as they would return home. Cassie was relieved to have finally been able to see Akira again. She had been counting down the days, trying her best not to cross paths with her before her younger self had been sent back in time. They could be a big family with all of Cassies kids, grandkids and Akira.
Segment 8 -- THE LAST ONE[]
**
London, Earth, 2024…
The Doctor looked around modern day London. Something out of place was next to him, something not of this time.
A blue box!
The TARDIS rested in a back garden. It was hidden behind a large tree. He looked up and saw that it had a treehouse on top off it. Birdhouses were dotted along the tree with the sound of young chicks coming from around them.
He could hear people chatting away, not too far away. There was some music, lots of laughing and the smell of barbecue filled the air.
The Doctor walked around the giant tree as he saw a large family sitting around a table. It was a sunny hot day, the perfect one for a barbecue.
He walked up to the family, looking back to the Live Photo. He held it up, comparing the faces. They seemed to match but he couldn’t see one person in particular.
The talking stopped; the music got turned down. They faced the Time Lord.
Looks of bemusement met his hopeful gaze.
“Who are you?” Todd asked him.
“I’m looking for a Cassie Wells.” The Doctor said.
Todd went up to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
“My mother? I’m afraid she is not with us anymore.” Todd broke the news.
The Doctor looked around, in disbelief. “No. That can’t be. I’m not too late. They said I wasn’t.”
A car pulled up as two people got out off it.
“Oh wait. She is now.” Todd chuckled as the whole family burst out laughing. “Sorry to do that to you. My mother taught us all to always have fun. She was on a shopping trip with Akira.”
An old Cassie smiled as she saw the Doctor. She ran to the Time Lord, jumping into a hug. It was the fastest she had moved in many years, even surprising herself that she could still do that.
“DOCTOR!” Cassie chuckled. “You came back.” She pulled away looking at him. “You haven’t aged a day.”
“Well.” The Doctor tried not to say anything. “I could say the same. But I would be lying.” He smiled.
“I haven’t aged in 20 years I’ll have you know! My Doctor said I was a walking miracle. Stuck at 65 forever. Not that my husband Tommy minds it.” She waved to an elderly man sitting amidst the large family that she had accrued.
Then he saw another family face, this one was also much changed from when he had last seen her.
It was Akira.
She went to hug the Doctor too. She had now grown up, being into her mid-20s now. Still the golden eyes and gold patched her remained from her Sytaran roots.
“I’m so glad to see you. All of you.” The Doctor couldn’t stop smiling.
“Are you going to join us?” Akira asked as the Doctor nodded.
“More importantly. Are you here to stay? We have a spare room if you wanted to?” Cassie said as the Doctor pointed beyond the tree.
“My TARDIS is just over there.” The Doctor said which seemed to sadden Cassie.
Cassie got Todd to get the Doctor a burger. “Are you going to leave?”
“Closing the vortex zapped the energy from the TARDIS. It will take some time to recover.” The Doctor told her.
“That means … you will stay!” Cassie Wells was delighted.
“For now. Let’s meet your huge family!” The Doctor said. “All the Wells!”
Cassie stopped him before eating. “Me and Tommy hyphenated our names. Caused a bit of a scandal back in the day but it’s the modern way.”
“What is Tommys last name?” The Doctor asked.
“Tunbridge.” Cassie said as the Doctor tried not to laugh. “It’s not funny.” She lightly punched him.
“Tunbridge – Wells? Like the place?” The Doctor couldn’t stop laughing.
“Wells – Tunbridge. We wanted to avoid that funny stuff.” Cassie grabbed a burger too. “Now let’s eat. I have pictures to give you! I have so much to tell you!”
The Doctor joined them at the table. “Tell me everything!”

The last part of the season…
London, Earth, 2024…
It had been a long time. The Doctor was a different man the last time they met. He had also been a woman in that time! It had been so long that the universe had been rebooted, he had fought and ended the Time War, he fought on the fields of Trenzalore. In short, it had been a really long time.
The Doctor could see the back of her head. Her hair had turned from the chestnut brown of when he had last seen her to be as white as the snow.
He slowly walked up to her. Not believing that he was seeing her again. It had been too long, saying goodbye was tough for the Time Lord. He was always moving on because he had too, it hurt too much to look back.
Yet, when he looked at her, at this moment, he just felt happiness.
She turned around as she heard his footsteps.
He hugged her, pulling her close in.
“Hello you.” The Doctor was holding back the tears.
The now old woman looked at him with such a kindness that his heart felt like melting. Why had he held off seeing her for so long.
She smiled at him. “Hello, Grandfather.”
Susan said as they shared in a long hug, having been reunited once again.
