Story[]

“We need to get all Sontarans to Earth,” Commander Arch shouted.

“Will do commander,” Stav responded going to a control panel as he hit a big red button. They then saw a load of red spots appear on the spaceship.

“Earth will fall,” Commander Arch shouted seeing millions of Sontarans getting ready for battle.

“I have got you now,” Strax smiled seeing another murderer as he pointed the gun at him smiling.

“Something flashing on your wrist,” the mass murderer said as Strax looked.

“Oh yes, I have been called to the glory of the Sontaran people to fight in victorious battle,” Strax smiled as he raised his gun.

“Are you going to leave?” The mass murdered asked with hope.

“Yes but because you are a murderer I will stun you, it will knock you out for a few hours and insert a tracking device into you that the others will be able to follow,” Strax said seeing the mass murderer looking confused as Strax shot him and then pressed his wrist as he disappeared going through time and space.

The Doctor looked about the TARDIS waiting for everyone to wake up.

“Bored,” he shouted as a groan came from one of the rooms.

“Go to sleep,” Maria shouted as she put the pillow around her ears.

“Not when there is adventure awaiting us,” the Doctor said going to Maria’s room.

“A bit of privacy,” Maria shouted.

“Come on then,” the Doctor pestered.

“Where are we going?” Tom asked standing near the console with a gun to his side.

“We will wait for Maria to get up then we will go,” the Doctor replied as they heard a groan from Maria as she got up.

“I just need to wake up,” Maria said in her pyjamas with a blue shirt and red trousers.

“We should go somewhere fun,” the Doctor said as the TARDIS started going.

“Wait for me to get up spaceman,” Maria said as the Doctor looked confused.

“I am not doing it, oh the TARDIS is on Earth invasion alert,” the Doctor said as he gone away from the TARDIS.

“Does Earth get invaded that much?” Tom asked crossing his arms.

“You would be surprised, the aliens could choose any place in the universe but they always choose Earth,” the Doctor smiled as they all sat down.

“I need to get changed,” Maria said.

“You can’t now. The TARDIS has landed and is now a part of events so you would be wasting time,” the Doctor told Maria as she kept on going towards her room. The door shut to her room as the TARDIS started disappearing around them.

“What is happening?” Tom asked.

“Well it appears that something is making the TARDIS disappear,” the Doctor observed as they saw soldiers surrounding them.

“You will put all your weapons to the ground,” a soldier shouted.

“They are fine, he is the Doctor and the other two are his latest companions,” Kate Stewart smiled as she had a device in her hand. “Two hearts,” Kate said as the Doctor stepped forward looking around.

“So you are still in charge,” the Doctor said “what were the terms of your treaty with the Zygons?” The Doctor asked as he looked to a large screen.

“We gave them Venus and they promise no invasion attempts of Earth,” Kate responded.

“Venus is not really a great planet but if you had given them Mars then it would have disrupted time lines,” the Doctor said to everyone’s confusion “I forget that you lot have not travelled to future Mars,” the Doctor commented as everyone still looked confused.

“Why were we brought here?” Tom asked.

“There is a Sontaran ship above Earth and we have been getting signals from it,” Kate said as they all saw the ship on the screen moving about.

“What kind of signals?” Maria asked.

“Time signals also teleport signals and why are you in your pyjamas?” Kate asked.

“You made the TARDIS disappear before I could get changed,” Maria replied.

“How did you make my TARDIS disappear?” The Doctor asked.

“Alien technology that we picked up from a Time Lord long ago,” Kate replied.

“Send some missiles up there and blow it out of the sky,” the Doctor suggested.

“We have tried to put some missiles up there but there seems to be a force field up there,” Kate replied as the Doctor looked out of a window.

“So a Sontaran battle fleet recruiting from everywhere in time and space and we have no way in stopping it and my TARDIS has been taken away from me,” the Doctor said as he started pressing buttons on the machine overlooking the Sontaran ship.

“Where is his TARDIS?” Kate asked a few soldiers who looked confused.

“I will find it later but first I need to clear up your mess,” the Doctor looked frustrated as he saw a light from the Sontaran ship.

“Did you see that?” Tom asked.

“Yes and we better get our forces ready, Earth needs to be defended,” Kate said as she gone to a control panel. “All units of Earth defence please come in,” Kate said as the Doctor stepped forward.

“All the world leaders on speed dial, good idea Kate,” the Doctor said.

“Can you get communication from the Sontaran ship?” A world leader asked.

“No, one of us will have to go up there and stop them, I have the perfect choice for the matter,” Kate said as she looked to the Doctor.

“I knew it,” the Doctor said as Tom and Maria stepped forwards.

“Why is she in her Pyjamas?” A world leader asked as they all looked towards Maria with a few snickers.

“They didn’t give me time to get changed,” Maria said bitterly looking towards the Doctor and Maria.

“We have a teleport ready,” Kate said as the Doctor rolled his eyes.

“Since when do we have teleports?” Tom asked.

“Humans don’t but aliens who have crashed on Earth do,” the Doctor said.

“So we are going to be teleported up there,” Maria said.

“Yes and we are going to have to survive,” the Doctor said as they gone towards a huge machine that was in the next room.

“You will go through here, using this,” Kate handed them each a device which they put around their wrists. “You can contact us and if you get lost you can also contact each other,” Kate stood back.

“I better not get killed,” Maria said crossing her arms.

“I promise that you will, should, okay then maybe be fine,” the Doctor stuttered seeing Maria’s angry face.

“Don’t say anything else,” Tom suggested as the Doctor nodded.

“Into the machine,” Kate ordered as the Doctor, Tom and Maria went into the machine. Kate went to the control panel as she pressed some buttons as they saw a beam of light as they had been teleported.

“Where are we?” Maria asked.

“In the Sontaran ship,” the Doctor said as they looked about themselves.

“I think I see one of their potato servants,” Maria whispered.

“That is a Sontaran, they are all clones each in a batch of 6 million each time,” the Doctor hid closely followed by the others.

“So a great race of aliens are actually just potato aliens,” Maria said.

“No they are one of the most perfect fighting machines ever created, they are just made to look like potatoes to make you think they are vulnerable but you should not be fooled,” the Doctor warned them.

“How about weaknesses? Everything has one,” Tom asked looking curiously to a Sontaran with their back to them.

“They have a hole in the back of their necks which if hit will paralyse them temporarily or you could shoot their head when they have their head armour down,” the Doctor said as he saw a Sontaran turn.

“Are we going to run?” Maria asked.

“That would be wise,” the Doctor shouted as they began running hearing footsteps behind them.

“You will be killed,” the Sontaran shouted with its head armour down.

“Run, I have got this,” Tom smiled as the Doctor nodded as he grabbed Maria’s hand and they ran.

“You will now be killed in the glory of battle,” the Sontaran shouted running towards Tom as he raised his gun and shot the Sontaran. “The Earthling has hit me, all available units to corridor 4E I repeat 4E,” the Sontaran’s body relaxed as his eyes rolled back.

“Bye bye Sontaran,” Tom smiled as he ran towards the others.

“I see you survived,” the Doctor commented.

“Of course, he didn’t even get a shot in,” Tom grinned as they heard more shouts.

“But he did get attention onto us,” the Doctor said.

“Well he is dead now,” Tom smiled as they heard more footsteps as the Doctor stopped at a room as he got his sonic screwdriver out and the doors light turned from red to green.

“One of their rooms,” the Doctor smiled as they all went in as footsteps came down the corridor quickly.

“Who are you?” A Sontaran lifted his gun towards them.

“Strax?” The Doctor smiled.

“Yes Doctor, I am fighting for the glory of the Sontaran Empire and I hope to meet you in the field of battle where I shall crush you,” Strax smiled.

“Are you sure you want to be on an army that no offense but always loses or do you want to keep on solving crimes with Jenny and Vastra and occasionally me?” The Doctor asked Strax who then looked confused.

“Can I use grenades in order to answer your question?” Strax asked.

“No, you need to answer me,” the Doctor was serious as they heard more shouting as a loud knock came onto the door.

“Have you seen three people, one woman and two boys?” A Sontaran asked.

“No,” Strax said looking around the room as they heard the footsteps going away from the door.

“Thanks for covering us,” the Doctor said.

“I do see one man and two women here,” Strax said.

“You see one Time Lord and Tom with the short hair is the man and Maria with the longer hair is the woman,” the Doctor explained as Strax still looked confused.

“Is he dumb?” Maria asked.

“Says the boy wearing the pyjamas,” Strax commented.

“I am a girl not a boy,” Maria said as Strax looked confused.

“Does this really matter when Earth is about to be invaded?” Tom asked.

“It doesn’t and my sonic screwdriver has tracked a main console unit, why would they want to invade Earth?” The Doctor asked looking confused as they all turned to Strax.

“We have never been able to conquer Earth because of the Doctor, our mission has been delayed over and over again but this time we will conquer Earth,” Strax looked up with a smile on his lips.

“Hello,” a voice said from the Doctor’s wrist.

“Hello, we are fine so there is no need to contact for now,” the Doctor said.

“Just a progress report,” Kate said as they heard Kate hanging up.

“Okay then, we will go to the main control unit and disable the ship and stop their plans,” the Doctor said as he sonicked the door.

“I’m afraid that I cannot help you sire but good luck in your quest and I hope that I destroy you in the field of combat,” Strax saluted as the Doctor copied. They smiled to each other “I put my name into all my bombs, so I know who I kill,” Strax smiled as they saw several grenades with his name on it.

“Good got you, we really need to be going,” the Doctor smiled as they looked both ways.

“To stop the invasion of the potatoes,” Maria smiled.

“Sontar-ha,” they heard a shout as footsteps came quickly towards them.

“I have got this,” Tom smiled as he lifted his gun as the Doctor and Maria ran quickly away.

“Surrender or die,” a Sontaran shouted.

“They are your choices,” Tom said as a grin appeared on his face as he began shooting as he saw a few bullets go just past his head.

“Kill him,” shouts came out as the Doctor and Maria heard a scream from behind.

“We have to go back,” Maria begged looking with pleading eyes to the Doctor.

“You know we can’t, he is Tom I am sure he will be fine anyway and I have detected the front of the ship,” the Doctor smiled as they continued running. Then they saw a mini explosion go off in front of them as they looked back.

“Sontar-ha,” the Sontaran shouted as the Doctor pointed his sonic to the Sontaran as they saw an explosion in his gun.

“All available Sontaran’s will now be teleported to Earth for battle, some will stay behind in order to protect the ship,” the speakers ran out in a strong male voice.

“Sontar-ha,” they heard the shout go up as the Sontaran in front of them disappeared.

“He is gone,” Maria smiled.

“To invade Earth,” the Doctor said as they continued running noticing the lack of Sontarans left over.

“I hear something coming,” Maria said as the Doctor pulled her into a side room.

“Doctor,” they heard a whisper as the Doctor looked out.

“Tom, you lived,” the Doctor smiled as he went out of the hiding spot pulling Maria out.

“I am your man for killing potatoes,” Tom grinned as he heard a snigger from Maria.

“Sontarans,” Maria said.

“Pyjamas,” Tom pointed to Maria as she smiled.

“Stop with the banter we need to go to the main console before more Sontarans come,” the Doctor said as he began scanning around as they kept on moving.

“Where are they?” Tom asked looking around.

“I don’t know, there are still some left,” the Doctor kept on going as there was an eerie silence.

“That is eerie,” Maria commented as they saw windows all pointing to Earth.

“That is amazing,” Tom said.

“Wow,” Maria grinned.

“I can do a lot better than that,” the Doctor said as they went towards it.

“This is the best I have seen,” Maria replied looking amazed.

“The fire dance was amazing,” the Doctor said.

“Not as amazing as this is,” Maria grinned as the Doctor sat down on the control panel.

“This is the console unit, unguarded and if we have enough fire power to blow it up like 6 grenades or one missile then all the Sontarans would automatically be sent to their own time and space and this ship will blow up,” the Doctor smiled as he stood up.

“Surrender,” a Sontaran shouted as a dozen more came.

“Should I shoot?” Tom asked.

“There are too many,” the Doctor said as another dozen surrounded them all with their guns raised.

“How did you know we were here?” Maria asked.

“You seemed to have put out a message to the entire ship by holding that button,” a Sontaran said.

“The one button I sit on and it is the one that alerted you,” the Doctor said as they all got taken away.

“Have you got a plan?” Maria asked.

“Why would I have a plan?” The Doctor asked.

“You always do,” Tom said as they were being pushed around.

“I never do, I just speak and hope,” the Doctor replied as they stopped in a large room.

“You will go to your knees where the Sontaran fleet shall claim another victory,” a Sontaran shouted.

“What does that mean?” Maria asked.

“It means that I am so sorry, they are about to execute us,” the Doctor looked sad as they all gone to their knees.

“We must escape,” Tom said looking afraid.

“I have nothing,” the Doctor got his sonic screwdriver taken off him as they also got Tom’s gun and threw them to the other side of the room.

“Raise guns and shoot in 3,2,1,” a Sontaran shouted as they heard a huge explosion.

“Check it out,” a Sontaran shouted as several started to disappear.

“They are being sent back, something has blown up the control panel,” the Doctor smiled not knowing who as he grabbed his sonic screwdriver with Tom grabbing his gun.

“They are all gone,” Tom said as they ran to the control panel.

“I have detected the TARDIS and it is coming, hopefully before the ship explodes,” the Doctor said seeing something rolling on the ground.

“A grenade,” Tom observed.

“We need to go quickly,” Maria suggested as the Doctor put his arm out.

“It is not going to go off, look it has something written on it,” the Doctor observed as he picked up the grenade.

“What does it say?” Tom asked.

“He told us in grenades, Strax caused this and left a grenade for us to know it was him,” the Doctor smiled knowing that Strax was on his side. They then heard an explosion.

“How long will the TARDIS be?” Maria asked.

“Now,” the Doctor shouted as all around them the scenery started to change.

“We are back,” Maria said with a grin that stretched from ear to ear.

“Thank you,” Tom said.

“That is okay and all the Sontarans are now away from Earth, well most of them and I have guaranteed the safety of Earth and my companions for another day,” the Doctor grinned.

“Another adventure, this one was fun,” Maria said going about the TARDIS.

“I was a warrior,” Tom smiled.

“Yes you are and here is our next adventure,” the Doctor smiled as he pushed a lever thinking about how he could turn a Sontaran against its own race, the Doctor knew that he could really make a difference, often for the better.
