Morbius was once a notorious and brutally malevolent renegade Time Lord. His career was the first in millennia to dramatically alter Gallifrey's relations with the wider universe. He attempted to overturn Gallifrey's non-interference policy in favour of military conquest. His attempts eventually failed, he was exiled from Galifry and eventually executed, only his brain was salvaged his followers who had formed a cult based on him.
A Young Morbius On Galifrey
Following his encounter with the fourth incarnation of doctor, he was saved yet again by an unknown source allowing which allowed his body to regenerate into a new incarnation. Morbius stripped of power and alone wandered the universe desperate and alone and only able to survive on the kindess of strangers, he was eventually imprisoned and become remorseful and despressed over his past actions and struggled to come to terms with his previous beliefs being so wrong.

Rise To Power[]
Like all Young Time Lords, Morbius was taken from his family at the age of eight, to stare into the Untempered Schism as part of the Time Lord initiation rites, Morbius was said to have been driven mad by what he saw in the Schism. Some Historians Say he was screamed till his throat was raw while others document he had to be carried away screaming and struggling attempting to fight those restraining him.

The Meeting Of Rassilon And Morbius
Morbius Grew into a charismatic young man, who found he did well in his educational pursuits at the academy and thrived in making friends and collecting followers. His ease with his studies meant he came to befriended his tutors and gained their admiration, he even caught the eye of noted explorer Tectuen who admired his ambition and saw in him a spark of brilliance. As time marched on he would regularly speak out at rally’s disapproving of much of the lord high President new order, wanting a more equalitarian society on Galifrey, he often spoke of rebellion. He started a secret society of like-minded time lords who intended to set out across the stars and conquer worlds and bring time lords to a new age of domination. Discovering group this led his former mentor Tectuen to leave galifrey ashamed of her former protégé darker nature. As Morbius left the academy he found himself and many other young time lords being enlisted in the military to fight in the great vampire war, Morbius carved a name for himself on the battlefield as a leader and brutal fighter. His heroic actions led to many joining his cause his units where known to have the largest survival rates of any and eventually his quick promotion to battlefield general was inevitable, this only made his ego grow and his arrogance swell. Riding on the lord high presidents bow ship, during a climactic battle, Morbius and Rassilon came face to face and as expected by all in attendance the two heroes of the great vampire wars quarrelled like children. Rassilon warned the young time lord to mark him for he would see him ended and Morbius in kind vaguely threaten the lord president’s office suggesting he enjoyed his title while it lasted, this persisted for some time the two trading thinly vailed threats and jabs at one another till victory was achieved and the went their separate ways once more. Morbius and his followers plotted in the dark and traded secrets and made designs for how to assume power from the cruel Rassilon.
Fall From Grace[]
Sometime after the war and the discovery of the secrets of regeneration where unlocked, Morbius now living modestly in the citadel itself, grew restless of quietness of peace and used his fame and charisma to initiate his long awaited rebellion against Rassilon. He Preached far and wide that all time lords be given the newly discovered power of regeneration rather than simply the elite chapters and council members, this led to much civil unrest and Morbius revelled in the ensuing chaos. Morbius even went as far as to set out publicly a plan for his people to set off out amongst the stars and make time lords what he called ‘liberators’ and ‘hero’s’ rather than simple observers. With his political power weakening and with most favouring the younger Morbius as a potential successor, Rassilon considered granting Morbius his demands for better representation and the spreading of regeneration to the ‘lower’ chapters. Hoping his actions would be seen as an act of generosity to his people, he laid harsh penalty’s at Morbius’s feet for his rebellious actions as he knew exiling or simply killing the young time lord would make him a martyr, no Rassilon had to be cunning if he was to defeat the rebellious upstart. One day the peace between the factions, acting as peace broker the then Vice chancellor Pandad, a squat pompous little man, who relayed demands back and forth regularly, could not condone Mobius’s eventual demand for the Presidency itself. Pandad in a fit of rage ordered Morbius exiled, alongside some of his more vocal supporters, hoping that this show of force would quench the brewing rebellion and please his superiors. This action made Rassilon furious and he obliterated Pandad on the spot, he ordered that the citadel prepared for a coming civil war, the prospect of losing his title made Rassilon scared and he hated the taste of fear.
Unbeknownst to most but his most devoted followers Morbius had formed a personal army of mercenaries, bought by his false promises of time travel and immortality. This Select following came to be known as the Cult of Morbius, Galifreyian society struggled to deal with these inconceivable events. Morbius’s own forces launched terrorist attacks on civilian locations throughout galifrey and threatened many more such events if Morbius was not freed and the judgement for his exile overturned. Following these attacks Rassilon simply disappeared, some said he vanished to the safety of the death zone to gain strength while others said he ventured off world in search of aid from the time lord’s allies, whatever the propaganda the Chair of the lord high president was now tantalisingly empty.
Morbius made his bid for the Presidency, though he then claimed the title of President-in-exile, satirically mocking the judgement passed by the late pandad. Escaping his exile, Morbius and his Cult assembled his "army of evil" with which he took+ the Capitol by force and returned to Galifrey ready to attack, starting the Time Lords' great Civil War. The forces loyal Rassilon refused to accept his rule and fought battles across the planet in acts of defiance. The war dragged on for many years and claimed the lives of untold numbers of Time Lords, Galifreyian, and other sentient life forms caught in the crossfire. Planets involved in the conflict. From out of the mist of the battle word reached Morbius ear that Rassilon had returned directing an unlikely army of Draconians, Ogrons, Ice Warriors and Sontarans against Morbius’s forces, with the Time Lord elite providing the financial support to back such a force. According to one account, it was at this point President Morbius’s own High Council, disapproving of the path he had taken, finally decided to betray him and attempted to have him exiled in secret. Catching wind of the plot and now seeing the tide of the civil war Turing against him, he and his followers abandoned Galifrey and began attacking the cultures of the outside universe with renewed fervour. Galifrey knew that he must be stopped, but, uncomfortable with being seen to act directly in the universe, the Time Lord High Council eventually chose to fight this war by proxy. The Celestial Intervention Agency came to the forefront of the fray providing discreet aid to anyone in Morbius’s path, all while Rassilon enjoyed a renewed support and being heralded as a hero by the masses.
In the end, the last of Morbius's armies where forced by the time lords to the planet Karn for a final clash during which the better part of Morbius’s armies died, as did Karn's native population in the ensuing chaos. The only beings to survive the clash of Time Lords was the Sisterhood of Karn, who had originated on Galifrey itself, and helped in the defeat Morbius, who throughout all these events was still in his first incarnation.
Although Rassilon had decided the grisly verdict in advance, Morbius was still put on trial, by the Sisterhood of Karn, the lord high president broadcast the trail far and wide to salve his bruised ego. Rassilon spewed fire and distain for the once idolised Morbius, renouncing his rank and begging the sisterhood to beware his sinister silver tongue. The sentence of death by public and ceremonial disintegration acted as warning to any who dreamt of opposing the time lords in future. Morbius was already encased in a dispersal chamber when Rassilon emerged from a Tardis and climbed atop one of Karn's cliffs to grandiosely deliver the verdict in a public address alongside the Sisterhood's leader Maren. Giving a simple silent gesture of his hand Rassilon called the executioner to act and Morbius's body was publically atomised to the nine corners of the universe.
Saved By The Cult[]
However, Morbius had actually escaped death: one of his followers, the human surgeon Mehendri Solon, secretly removed Morbius' brain in the time prior to his disintegration. Solon stayed on Karn in hiding, where he began planning to build a new body for Morbius. The Sisterhood took to defending the Elixir of Life by causing passing spacecrafts to crash; these space travellers provided a regular supply of corpses from which Solon scavenged body parts for his project.
