The Seventeenth Doctor was the seventeenth incarnation of the Time Lord known as the Doctor.
Psychological profile[]
Personality[]
The Seventeenth Doctor was a kind-hearted individual, never refusing anyone help if they needed it, and willing to take great risks in protecting innocent lives. He was also highly secretive, failing to tell his companions about his past until pressed into doing so, and sometimes leaving them behind to deal with secret affairs.
He was described as eccentric and felt more comfortable around creatures than he did around humans. He admitted that he found most people annoying. However, despite this, He understood that love must never be forced upon others and must instead be earned through effort.
When communicating with other people, He was often an extremely awkward man, uncompromising and eccentric in the opinions of his peers. He preferred the company of his companions, whom he expressed terror at the thought of them coming to harm. He was also uncomfortable with affection between himself and another human, struggling to come up with an explanation for River Song about his "engagement" to Lina, and not liking being hugged by his companions.
Similar to his tenth and the thirteenth incarnation, he would consider good things and ideas to be "brilliant", but would also use the word in a sarcastic sense, and to describe how someone performed in a crisis, or when describing a person in general.
The Seventeenth Doctor demonstrated astute detective skills and could deduce a person's thought pattern through eye contact. He was also able to tell when he was talking to a bad liar, unearth a truth by studying someone's facial reaction, and, occasionally, tell when someone was attempting to deceive him.
He was able to analyze his environment by tasting the ground and could determine his location in time and space by observing the smells of his surroundings. He claimed also to be able to smell the effects of time travel on those who had been through the Time Vortex, though he noted that this was an oversimplification.
When performing maintenance on his TARDIS, or building a new device, the Doctor would wear a pair of protective goggles, and, similar to his fourth incarnation, he occasionally wore a scarf around his neck, with an orange and grey pattern. He sometimes had a suitcase that not only is a fully functional suitcase that carries his sonic screwdriver, psychic paper, and other random contraptions but is also a Dimensionally transcendental machine similar to the TARDIS.
Habits and Quirks[]
Skills[]
By placing his hand on someone's temple, the Doctor could erase their memories, or search through their memories to find information. When another Time Lord was close enough, the Doctor could engage them in telepathic contact from some distance away.
Like his predecessors, the Seventeenth Doctor was a skilled escape artist, crediting it to the teachings of Harry Houdini.
Appearance[]
The Seventeenth Doctor was a tall, thin male with tousled brown hair and blue eyes. His usual attire included a blue coat, brown vest, white shirt, bow tie, dark brown trousers and brown boots. He also owned an orange a gray scarf that he occasionally wore.
During his travels in Paris, in 1927, he was shown with a grey woollen coat, and his usually unkempt looks became scruffier and more haggard, as his international travel ban and the attempts of the Master to recruit him against The Cybermen and The Darleks were weighing on him heavily.
Possessions[]
Suitcase: He could hide the contents from people by flipping a switch on the case. In 1926, whilst visiting the United States of America, the creature in his suitcase escaped, whereupon he was accosted by Percival Graves, the right-hand man of the CIA. The suitcase contains its own world with many different habitats for each creature. It also contains a place for The Doctor. As the TARDIS his suitcase is a dimensionally transcendental machine meaning that its bigger on the inside.
