Tecteun, commonly known by the pseudonym, The Other, was the very first member of the original Galifreyan species that ventured out into the stars. In her original form, she discovered the secrets of regeneration from the Timeless Child; and following her first regeneration, she became one the first test pilots throughout the creation of the first time travel capsules. Her actions resulted in the founding of time lord society alongside her fellow scientists Rassilon (Earth 92) and Omega Due to her manipulation of her own DNA, Tecteun is unique amongst time lords; being able to regenerate twelve times but into the same continuous body. In later life he would go onto be a founding member of the Torchwood institute; a secret organization that would seek out non-terrestrial life forms, and aid them, as well as defend earth from alien incursions.
First incarnation[]
Tecteun's original appearance
Tecteun was one of Galifrey's first explorers and adventurers. She was seen as visionary amongst her own people, and she was regarded as a kind and noble women by other species and races. Her real passion wasn't exploring the stars and seeking out new worlds; what she enjoyed most was returning home with treasurers and showing her daughter, Andromeda, what was out there amongst the stars. She promised her grand adventures by each other's side when she was older. They would plot maps and discuss their bright future together as a family. Tectuen would often spend her days back on Galifreyain soil helping her friends Rassilon and Omega with their experiments, and the three of them together created sways of technological marvels.
Returning home from one of her many adventures, having discovered a primordial earth far across the stars, she was at once greeted by her friend Rassilon who stood solemnly at her door. He informed her that her own daughter had been lost to her, and she broke down beside the child’s grave. Vowing to never return to the stars, she took a position teaching at the Galifreyian academy, where she met a young man who had great drive and ambition and wanted to change the world. It become evident that this young Galifreyian didn’t want to change the world for the better, and she widely accepted that one of her greatest failures was the actions of this pupil, Morbious (Earth 92), who gathered great sways of followers and discussed his future plans for domination.
The Timeless Child[]
Disheartened with Morbuis’s action, Tecteun left Galifrey for one last expedition; she bid Rassilon farewell, and set off into the unknown. Not far out of Galifreyan space, her ship began to malfunction. She made it into an unknown region of space, and crash-landed on a barren world. Tectuen explored the world while she allowed her ship to repair itself. She came across a schism in reality and time itself, and she shook in fear at the endless idea of the very instance. She set to work attempting to close the schism and, as she attempted to manipulate the very fabric of this nexus point, a crackle and boom was heard across the planet. Partially blinded Tecteun looked around, her eyesight gradually restoring itself. Next to the schism lay a figure, an unconscious small child, an unknown girl no older then Tecteun’s lost daughter. She took the girl aboard her ship, administered first aid, and placed the girl in a deep sleep, before returning with the girl to Galfrey where her old friends Rassilon and Omega greeted her, with Rassilon being shocked she had indeed returned altogether. Omega had begun working on a large citadel for their species, and had purposely built lab facilities for his friends to work with the hi tech equipment, and develop their projects together, combining there vast intellects for the benefits of all Galifrey.
The great schism
In her new lab, Tecteun began treating the girl, waking her up from her induced sleep. The young girl was frightened and resilient to treatment at first, however the the two developed a close bond, with Tecteun becoming like an adoptive parent.
However the girl could not die, instead, she would began to emit a strange glowing orange light from her body; this energy seemed to flow out like it was a liquid, but didn’t have the same properties. Suddenly the brightness intensified, forcing Tectaun to look away but when it subsided, looking down at her adoptive daughter, Tecteun saw a completely new girl smiling back up at her. The girls body had completely regenerated. This filled her with a great thirst for knowledge, and she took some samples of the girls blood, and set out a plan to harness this ability. During the course of their lives together, the girl barely aged a year, all while Tectuen aged hundreds her body showing signs of her advanced age.
She returned the girl to the schism, kissed her adopted daughter on the head, and sent her back through the schism; praying she would find her way home. She feared what others would do if they discovered this secret
Again her ship malfunctioned, and she was gravely injured. She could see only one resoultion: she drew a syringe of the regeneration compound and injected herself with it, causing her body to begin the regeneration process

Tecteun's new face
Awaking having been Reborn in a much younger body with the opposite gender the shell shocked Tectuen was just seen as an unknown galifreyan wandering the streets, collected up he was unable he was quickly given a suit of armour and weapon and put to the front lines by the time lord high command, Other worldly beings had started to incur on reality and the time lords had taken it upon themselves to destroy the great vampire threat. Aboard great bow ships the forces of the citadel converged all out assaults on the beast invading through schisms in space with Tectuen thrown into the deep end fighting besides the likes of his former pupil Morbious (Earth 92) and The General ( Earth 92) in bloody campaign that most where lucky to escape. as the wars came to a close Tecteun had garnered a name as a heroic and brave soldier, unbeknownst to his fellow soldiers he had died multiple times on the battle field and regenerate getting back up and coming straight back into the fight, with many remarking they had seen him die first hand.

There at the last climatic battle he witnessed hi old friends Rassilon and omega do battle and cast the last of vampires back into the last reality schism, now much older Tecteun had garnered the ran of captain in the galifreyan forces met his old friends in what was supposed to be a ceremony where he would receive a medal of valour from the president, it was at this point he was able to tell his old friends what had happened and what he had discovered.

Rassilon rejoiced at being reunited with his old friend and openly discussed his great sadness having lost his friend, Adjourning into a private chamber rassilon revealed he had found his old friends research and had already manipulated it to 'perfection' granting himself similar immortality and proposed allowing his fellow time lords the same ability but at a stunted level he mockingly added around twelve would suffice, the same age as Tectuens daughters age when she sadly passed away, Rassilon smirked knowing the weight behind each of his words he added it would be a fitting tribute before Tecteun felt the rage overwhelm him and struck rassilon across the face, the two men scrapping it out in the presidents chambers with rassilon being over come by Tectuen's training on the battle field he resorted to cheating using his gauntlet to blast his old friend back before having him imprisoned within his old laboratory. Some time far later, news reached the imprisoned Tecteun of omega's death and rassilon being hailed as the creator of time travel and regeneration, with him being regarded as a war hero by the masses and he was deeply loved, with his own deeds and involvement referred to simply as the work of 'the other' so that his name would not be passed down through time lord history. The Vortex manipulator didn't work as hoped and Tecteun found himself adrift in space and immediately died regenerating persistently, rassilons forces soon found him and places him into a chamber under galifrey and used him as a living battery. he was destroyed when the victorious destroyed galifrey

'Arthur' was a simple unassuming man
Time waves rippled around him and Tecteun found himself on of all places, planet earth, England in 1640 AD he set to work building himself a peaceful and generic life far away from the eyes of the time lords, taking the alias Arthur He built Andromeda House from the ground up, a beautiful stately home named after his daughter and lived in humble luxury collecting rare antiques of alien origin. He would in his life on earth dabble in current affairs fighting in the English Civil War, both world wars and after many years of impersonating his own relatives he began to be relied upon as a consultant for a government organisation know as the unified intelligence taskforce or UNIT, encountering the third doctor, a fellow time lord, as well as brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart with the latter and Arthur becoming good friends often spending evenings playing chest and drinking whiskey

after some time he revealed his origins to his friend and that he had fought alongside Alistair's father, Captain Archibald Hamish Lethbridge-Stewart, in the second world war and promised to take care of his family Alistair simply laughed and remarked that it was another secret he would keep.

She was blissfully unaware of hi origins but believed Arthur was more then he said he was having a strange grasp on alien cultures and being technologically proficient with advanced technology they had recovered, this led her to have him under surveillance for a time but Arthur simply invited the men sent to watch him in for tea and would hand all listening devices back to Kate when she next visited.

having been stranded on earth for a number of years now Tecteun had adopted the name Arthur Darvill as a cover, amassing a seemingly large fortune due his vast intelligence and his technological knowledge. He made himself instrumental in the creation of several technology's taking care to be to ambitious with his efforts so he wouldn't cause humanity to advance to fast and disturb the natural time line
Follow a chance meeting with Ace ( Earth 92) who was now running a agency to investigate alien incursions on earth, separate from UNIT ace wanted her agency to not be confined by bureaucracy and anted to help the universe, Arthur like this concept and the two bonded with ace commenting on how he wasn't the first time lord she had met to which he insisted he wasn't a time lord he was Galifreyan. during a mission together to Dubai, where a strange spate of murders had taken place and the culprit was described as a giant wormlike creature, they encountered Captain jack Harknes ( earth 92) sunning himself on a beach, ace was instantly excited to see her old friend but was shocked at how little he had aged. Arthur introduced himself to jack and appeared to be immune to even jacks attempts at flirting with him, they journeyed together to the heart of the dessert and managed to find and subdue the worm, the creature had been left by an unknown party and was dying. Arthur having organised a discreet off the books UNIT pick up, safely detained within the vault at Andromeda house where it was fed and allowed to live out the remaining days of it's life in relative comfort. feeling life

Arthur encountered Ace's new recruit, the time lady Romana ( Earth 92), she instantly recognised something within Arthur and identified him as a time lord she asked if he might be the doctor or even the corsair but he told her he was much older and suggested she might recognise him by the name, the other, Romana recoiled and almost fainted meeting a founder of galifrey.
