Characters[]

Captain Jack Harkness: An ex-time agent from the 51st century, Jack restarts Torchwood with Rex Matheson after the events of Miracle Day, including using the Rift to go back in time to the destruction of the Original Hub and rebuilding a brand new, State-of-the-art headquarters for the New Torchwood.

Gwen Cooper: An ex-member of Torchwood, who managed to keep a normal life after Miracle day, looking after her Daughter, but after she was posessed by a creature who incubated inside Children, but causes them to grow twice as fast. after freeing her, Gwen realised what Torchwood really meant, and rejoined, much to the negetive opinion of Rhys.

Rex Matheson: A CIA agent who became Immortal, like Jack, after the Events of Miracle day. He started to recreate Torchwood. He struggles with following Jack's orders, but respects him more now he understands what it is like to live forever. As the series progresses, he starts to realise what Torchwood is really about.

David Reinhart: (episode 5 Onwards) Welsh/German Criminal who Stumbled on Torchwood by Accident when Running from the police, who had a perfect immune system which makes him immune to the Amnesia pill, and eventually proved to be what Torchwood needed as a field agent. He is cynical and tries to throw wit at evey chance, mostly with bad results.

Lucy Johnson: (Episode 2 Onwards): Doctor recruited to Torchwood because of neccesity. Outwardly she is happy most of the time and tends to stay positive, but also has a ruthless streak when her friends are endangered.

Alex Sampson: (Episode 9 onwards) Genius hacker who is sought out by Torchwood after a virus of her own design locks Jack and Lucy into the new hub. She is a university dropout who was kicked out of oxford for rewiring the computer system, and finds it hard to fit in with other people.

The New Hub[]

A State of the art, recreated headquarters for Torchwood serves as the main setting for the series. occupying the same space as the original hub, and built directly after the destruction of the hub, it takes a similar layout, but has a much cleaner build, and uses more modern technology.
